This store is the epitome of customer service. Covid-19 has taken so much from all of us, and walking into this store with my 2.5 month old son after being in lockdown for so long made me feel like it was New Years Day. It was the first day the store had been opened after lockdown, and right from the door Donna had a smile on her face asking each customer what they were looking for and how she could help to make the process easier. Her warm smile made everything so much better and just made me feel so calm. Donna was serving many duties of doing the store head count at all times, social distancing measures of where customers should stand in the store, folding and placing items on the shelves and helping customers finding and taking their items to the front cashiers. I was so shocked with how much care and patience she had, GOOD JOB DONNA.There was Mark and Cassie (I believe) at the cashier who were working as fast as can be with returns and purchases to keep the flow moving but also being diligent. I saw Cassie who did an amazing job with my returns with a minor silly hiccup which had nothing to do with her. Cassie hustled with the store manager Angie to rectify the situation and not once did they ever complain about the line outside or show any signs of unprofessionalism. I want to disclose I have not seen such great customer service in a long time. I once walked into a well known store before the lockdown and everyone was so miserable and too busy to even greet you. Needless to say, I won’t ever go back to that store. Cassie and Angie brainstormed some ideas that eventually worked with Angie calling head office to find a way to make the situation work. I was never upset or unhappy, I was holding my son and doing my mom thing. Cassie and Angie were constantly apologizing to me, though nothing was anyone’s fault at all but I didn’t mind being there to find a solution.Eventually, Angie had all my contact information before leaving the store and advised me she will get to the bottom of this all by the end of the day, and indeed she did. I can only say thank you to all the employees of that store for not giving up in a time where I feel everyone has thrown in the towel. By the way, the item ended up at my front door in less then 24 hours, which is incredible. I know I’m giving you all 5 stars but I’d rather give you 100 for being so great with me and my son. Had such an amazing experience at this store. I made some purchases online and unfortunately none of the clothes I got were of the correct size. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by the manager Donna, who was friendly, warm and assisted me with everything I needed. The environment was inviting and all the staff were smiling. Would definitely recommend this place for all your clothing needs!

Normally have a really good experience here. Really nice selection of product and friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately last time I went with my sister I had a negative experience with the staff on call Tuesday march 22nd. My sister was looking to buy a wallet and was in between a couple. We were hovered over the entire time so we left to think about it because we felt pressured and uncomfortable. When we came back to purchase the wallet we were glared at when we came back and the drawer was locked. We were not rude, we were very considerate and never gave a reason that should have deemed us suspicious. I work in customer service so I understand maybe the wallet section could be a problem section for the store when it comes to theft but it never feels good to be treated some way, especially when you’ve done nothing to warrant it.

I was looking forward to buying a track suit from Roots since I heard nothing but positive reviews. I was greeted upon entering the store in a friendly manner and I was also asked if there was anything I was looking for which I appreciated. I stopped by this location on a Friday afternoon and it was not busy at the time. When I was in the fitting room I kindly asked for help in changing a few different sizes as I accidentally grabbed all the wrong sizes from the gender free section. The vibe changed at this point. The employees appeared and sounded annoyed that I asked them for different sizes for 6 pieces of clothing and seemed to intentionally ignore me the second time as all my verbal attempts to get their attention were not acknowledged. The 3 employees were unpacking new stock at the cash counter which is in very close proximity to the fitting room and clearly preferred talking among themselves. After the fitting room I was familiar with the sizing and left my unwanted articles of clothing in the fitting room then went to look for other colors to purchase in the styles I liked. All the clothing I was looking at was on hangers and racks and it wasnt until 10 minutes later when I started looking at the folded clothing on the shelves I heard Can I help you?! What are you looking for?" in a very unpleasant tone. It was clear that the employee was worried I was going to mess up the folded clothing and that was the only reason she offered me help. I have a retail background of 20 years so I am aware of the tactic but I'm also mindful of how I handle clothing when shopping. The experience started off on a good note then went downhill and I left feeling disappointed and questioning if I did something wrong to be treated the way I was. It's also worth mentionining that when I went to pay for my items the employees provided top notch service."

2018 reviewWent black Friday shopping on Thursday night 2018. 30% off everything. LOVE Roots sweats..amazing quality and material so thick and soft. The Georgian mall staff were so helpful and there were lots of them there to assist you. Excellent Canadian Company. Have been buying from them for decades and will continue for decades to come.2019 review maybe 2 starsWent in there Black Friday 2019. Disappointed. Long long line up with only 2 cash registers (plus one that took only cash which wasn't being used so much) the store is really crowded difficult for family's with strollers. It would have been a challenge for people with walkers and wheelchairs too. I also found limited choices in sizes available in stock....nothing like last year.

This store had nice service and was clean, typical Roots store. I am quite disappointed in Roots marketing they claim made in Canada but aside from their leather products, everything seems to be made in China. While I will agree the fabrics are better than other brands the prices are unjustifiable.

Not being very familiar with the store I was wandering around and then this glowing light of hope named Chloe, gave me ideas and help me pick out the perfect gifts for my family!
