Beer and food were great. Service was awesome. Could have given a 5 star but not feeling this $9 more for 3 pieces pork belly on the poutine. Other than that highly recommended for friends and family gatherings.

I came here as a stop for my canada day trip and had a good time! Because the weather was nice we sat outside which had a lively patio vibe. The food was very tasty, while there was a wide variety of beers available. The grilled cheese burger is definately worth it! The only reason I took off a star was because it was a bit of a challenge for us to get the attention of a server when we wanted to order more food or get the bill. As this is only a small inconvenience, it would not prevent me from coming again or recommending this place to other people. Thanks for the nice experience!

Citizen is one of my favourite neighbourhood spots, but I'm a bit concerned about the direction it is heading.They used to have what I considered the best burger in the city...and I'm not sure it's even in the top 30 anymore. And now, instead of cheddar, they just drown it in a 7-Eleven-esque cheese sauce that makes it even more unappealing.I will say that the fried chicken they have on the menu is quite good, and that's usually what I end up ordering. And I commend the fact that they FINALLY added sides to the handhelds.The other concerning issue is the service. The last two visits we've had the same server, and he just can't seem to keep track of what was ordered. First time he completely botched every food order that was made in our group, and most recently he couldn't seem to keep track of who ordered what drinks.It's not bad enough to stop me from coming here....yet (I'm not going down to 3 stars, but I'd do 3.5 if I could). I dig the vibe, the beer is great, and I'm a fan of the trivia nights...but the Citizen Brewing that exists now is not the same as it was several years ago, and I hope it doesn't continue trending downwards.

Lovely little brewery, great people, food is top 10 percentile for pubs for sure. The burger tastes like a lot of home made ingredients, fries almost as good as the Costco fries! :ODog friendly patio, human friendly establishment, lovely vibes all around.

Fantastic beer(s), great food, friendly staff, and a fun crowd make Citizen's one of my fave pitstops. Growler fill special is now on Thursday and $2 off 4 packs on Friday.Update - don't forget about Trivia Night and live music too!

Service was incredibly slow for lunch hour, and when we arrived there were only four other tables seated. We had to flag down the server to take our food order. Mac n cheese was undercooked and bland, and most of our order was overpriced for portion size. Had to ask twice for the bill, and worst of all - the food was served in takeout bowls but when asked to take home some leftovers, instead of lids for the takeout bowls, we were provided with boxes.

Food isn't as good as it used to be. My friend's brisket had so much fat in it that it was inedible. They used to have a really great vegetarian burger, but it's been replaced by a Portobello mushroom burger. Service is still great.

Great beer, cool location, friendly staff and good food. Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.My friends said the burgers were great! I had the “Cubano” and it was pretty good. I also had the salt and pepper chips but there was way too much salt on the and I spent way too much time scraping the excess off; the chips themselves were really good.Busy place with lots of neighbourhood residents and workers walking in. The outdoor seating will be terrific in the summer!

Citizen is easily in my top 3 favourite beers! The atmosphere can’t be beat! Great food, and amazing beer! Definitely give this spot a try, you won’t be disappointed!Kids menu!Non alcoholic optionsHealthy options!In house sauces

Great selection of beers! Cool spot to chill with a pint and listen to their awesome mellow playlist. Lots of tables for big groups. Best one I tried was the Hijacked IPA!
