Esquimalt Urgent and Primary Care Centre

Very kind people at reception, though they were full for the day the lady instructed me to call a place that would be opening their phone line around 3 minutes from when I called, got booked in for the same day--- I reckon these people are very busy but they genuinely try to get you help.

My father was visiting BC and came down with covid. *No one* had appointments, but my father is 74 and has cancer so I really wanted to get him paxlovid. Samantha at Esquimalt was amazingly helpful and competent, and saw to it that my father got his necessary labs sent in and was able to see a doctor (and ultimately get the medication he needed). She even personally came to say hello" while he was waiting in the exam room. I don't know anything about the other employees there

Their new phone system is really good. Was able to secure a spot within 30 minutes of calling. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor that saw my baby was absolutely delightful and very thorough. I never write reviews but was so impressed that I had to say: if you have a child and need medical attention this place is great!

No connection between departments. One professional suggests something and the other says it's not available. Met with a psychologist and social worker who's lack of support made me feel more hopeless than before. The social worker services might as well not exist. I was told to wait a few months and save up and move to Alberta. Thanks.

There are an amazing group of people who work at the Esquimalt Urgent & Primary Care Centre.I spoke to Michelle on the phone and she was so wonderful, in asking me lots of questions about my symptoms and booking me in with a doctor. I was grateful to have an appointment, rather than wait in a waiting room. At my appointment, I had the lovely nurse Christine who made me feel so comfortable. Dr Walton is the most gentle doctor and also made me feel so taken care of.I can't say enough good things about this place. Would highly recommend. Amazing team here :)

Called yesterday 20 minutes after opening and waiting 20 minutes on hold to be turned away. Called again today right as they opened, sat on hold for 15 minutes, phone rings, no one answers it. Don't waste your time here, try anywhere else.

I spoke with Dee. She was super helpful. I have anxiety through the roof Dee was very patient and caring. She put up with my meandering.I'm a patient of Dr. Youssef. He has been nothing but kind and honest with me. There is no judgment here.

I have been without a family doctor for 14 years, and have relied on walk in clinics for the same amount of time. After Covid, and a very well known shortage of family doctors and nurses, protocol and procedures obviously had to change which made seeing a doctor on a walk in basis sometimes very challenging. However, esquimalt urgent care has always gotten me in for an appointment either the same day, or has scheduled me for an appointment a few days later. Their front desk staff are lovely and so helpful, and their doctors and nurses are amazing. Dr. Langford who I saw today, was very kind and sympathetic to what was ailing me, and he took the time to explain everything to me that I was suffering from. I highly recommend this clinic!

Genuine above and beyond care, especially from nurse Carly who took the time to listen to what I was going through and give thorough and compassionate care over the phone. Thank you Carly!

Suspected case of Strep and was able to get an appointment same-day. It really isn't rocket science; you call right at opening... not 2 minutes after, not 1 minute after: RIGHT AT OPENING.Only deduction was that they called me to tell me it was not Strep and to discontinue use of antibiotics and then my partner was diagnosed positive Strep less than 36 hours later. Oh well, I am still alive!1
