Dawson Dental - Newmarket

I’ve been a patient of Dr Meyer at Newmarket’s Dawson Dental for over 20 yrs. I’ve always had the most professional, friendly and expert care at this clinic for everything from a routine check, cleaning and surgical procedures. An excellent dental practice for children up to senior years. Many thanks for your care and commitment to my ongoing dental care.

If I could give this office a zero star, I would. Many people may have had a positive experience with this location but not me. I’ve had nothing but run around with regards to my son and his wisdom teeth. Rita in particular and I really hope she reads this because she will know who is writing this review. She has failed to follow through with a care plan for my son, failed to return voice mails, phone calls and emails. It’s like she has no answers so rather than say so, she just ignores you. I have even put a complaint with the office manager as well as the person who manages complains for the main office and no one has bothered to follow up with me. Ridiculous customer service. Very poor example of customer satisfaction. The entire experience from December 2021 to today has been awful. I wouldn’t deal with them even if they offered their service for free!!!

For having high anxiety at dentist work ($$$),From day one, they got me in right away, (emergency) and treated me with such care for years now.I love the new building and as usual great service and my doctor is amazing!

Not sure who are writing positive reviews on this business but I’m not going there anymore.After more than 20 years my dentist retired from and the practice was purchased by Dawson Dental. The new dentist was only looking for money and nothing else. I felt like a number and nothing else.Rita was just useless. I asked for an estimate on December 16 and after 5 weeks was not there.I have some X-rays and needed to get a second opinion but took her one week after escalation and calling the College to get them. Not sure what happened there but I’m going where I am treated as a person.

I have found since the two Newmarket offices have amalgamated, the front office staff has definitely gone down hill. Multiple texts/phone calls to confirm appointments when it has already previously been confirmed, appointments booked on days when office closed and told multiple times they will call me back and never do. Love Anne-Marie, she’s the only reason I continue going here.

I cant say enough about Leeann and the care she gives at Dawson Dental Newmarket. I have been going to Leeann for years, in fact I followed her to Dawson Dental. She used to work in Oakville and that was my dentist but when she moved to Newmarket I had to follow her because of her care and professionalism. The new location is very nice, clean and modern. Leeann is the best reason to go to Dawson Dental. Thank you Leeann for everything you do!

Love the new location. Absolutely stunning!! Such friendly and talented staff. Would recommend Dr. Meyer 100% for all my dental needs.

I want to take a moment to thanks the Dawson Dental Newmarket team for the excellent service. I’ve recently went through the dental implant treatment procedure of large scale and enjoy the results very much! My smile and quality of life are restored! Special thanks go to Dr. Edward Gelfand, Cortney, Lana, Dana and, of course, Ashley for smooth coordination of treatment plan.

I was really hoping for a good experience. But between just trying to schedule an appointment, finally getting there and having to have to retake x rays 4 times cause their computers wouldn't work. Not being given any estimates for future work I initially came in to be looked at then no one at all getting back to me for scheduling another appointment to talk to their treatment coordinator. Even when I eventually called they said they would once again call me with a appointment time and they didn't. I guess they don't care about getting new patients.

Receptionists are very nice and welcoming. I’ve had two cleanings here with two different hygienists and liked both of them! Reason for 3 stars: In the beginning of June I had 2 veneers done, however one of the veneers did not match well at all. Everyone told me it looked great, but when I got home I realized the colour difference and was super upset. They told me I could whiten my teeth (out of my own pocket) to try to match the veneers or I’d have to wait to have them fixed. Unfortunately the dentist who did my veneers was going on holidays so I have to wait almost 2 months to have them fixed. I’m more embarrassed to show my teeth than I was before. It would have been nice to be offered a complimentary whitening considering the length of time I have to wait to have them fixed and how much money I spent on the veneers.I guess this kind of mistake could happen at any dental office, so 3 stars because the staff treat people well but I had an unfortunate (and expensive) experience.
