We have been coming here every year since 2010. Prices have been going up every year, but even with the price increases, it's a magical family Christmas tradition. You get a bon fire with benches in the forest to setup camp and make the whole day of it.There's Cookie decorating, pony rides, hay rides, and a train that takes you around the play area. There's a hay maze, broom hockey, tennis ball sling shots and more! Then you go with the family to cut down a tree together. They put the free through a machine that wraps it up for the drive, and they provide twine if you need it.This place is beautiful - the best place in Ontario for Christmas :)

A bit expensive, but if you make a day of it and cook at one of the fire pits it can be reasonable. Great experience for the kids.

I really wanted to rate these guys 5* based on what I've heard, and my past experiences as a kid, but after today's visit, we were really let down.I can assure you that there are other places that are just as great for a fraction of the cost. Tree lane farms is where we usually go and we'll be going back based on the cost.A few notes to the owners:1. Don't charge so much for each and every little thing. Entry was pricey, trees were so costly, food was ridiculous at $8 for one hot dog, and then the cost for wood. It all adds up to a very expensive day.2. Use appropriate signage. We asked for a map but they didn't have any. There was one sign, but no others along the way. We didn't see some of the items that were promised on the website. The train ride only accomodated a small group when there was a constant big line up. We had to skip the pony rides because the line was too long.3. Replace broken items. No one enjoys listening to blaring music, especially when the speakers are all busted.

So sad. Every year for 20 years our family and extended family has come to get our tree here. Since then the prices have become so astronomical at both farms, even unreasonable. Now admission to the tree farm (and it's $10 a person), plus a costly tree, plus prices on all the activities (this I can I understand). The owners have become greedy and this is not what Christmas is about. Our family cannot afford to come here and will not be going here any longer (I'm sure we won't be the only ones). Its sad to see a family event and tradition that brought so much joy in growing up burdened by those who are greedy, and taken the magic out of a Christmas tradition. I can understand charging for the use of fire wood, the cost of a tree or even a time frame around the fires but what they have begun to charge is plain mean and they are taking advantage. If I can add, our family as well as others enjoy the rustic nature of the second farm, no activities/lights/showtime are needed. I know this is the reason they will say there is extra admission, and will try to change. This is the commercial aspect some are trying to escape. It's detestable. Kids are fine being with their families cutting a tree in itself.

It's a beloved family tradition for a good reason. Personally, I love the goats and the candle making. My nephews love the mazes and the zipline. Come prepared - if you're planning on making a day of it, bring food, blankets, cash (there may be an ATM but I couldn't find it and some things cost extra, like the candle making and the very important goat food), your Christmas spirit and you'll have a great day. It can be a little expensive but the experience is well worth it. One of the disadvantages is that while there is a fry truck, the line up is always long. One unexpected high point was how clean the bathrooms were!!

So many trees to choose from, very friendly staff, tree shaker at the end to get the extra needles off, plus they tie your tree up! Definitely worth the price. Beautiful spot for a family tree day.

This was a fun experience for the whole family. There was amazing activities for the whole family. We had a group of 8, 2 families, and easily fit at the campfires. While there is food on site to purchase I would highly recommend you bring food to cook on the fire. That alone is a fun experience.Your little ones to your big ones will find lots of things to do! Our groups children ranged in age from 6-15. They all found something to do and even enjoy together. They all loved the wagon ride! The mazes seem to also be a favourite. We had one issue while there but the owners went above and beyond to fix it. We greatly appreciate it and will be back for more fun and hopefully years to come after that. Thank you!

I took my 3 and 5 year old boys there on the weekend. They absolutely loved it. So many things to do including the train (which we went on 4 times), enjoying their first ride on a horse and having a campfire. I didnt love having to pay an extra $10 for the campfire based on the fact that there were only 3 of us (if we had a bigger group, it would have been included). Overall it was a bit pricey but I don't think that warrants a low star rating because overall it was a really enjoyable Christmas experience. To put it into perspective, my sister took her kids for photos with Santa east of the GTA - the entire thing lasted about 15min where they took them from post to post reading parts of a Christmas story as they went, they got a small cookie decorating kit to go and sat on a bench near Santa and took their OWN photos, and got a hot chocolate to go. That cost her $20 a person, so $80 for the entire family! At Sloan's Christmas village you can spend the day there, bring your own snacks to enjoy by the fire, go on the train/ziplines as many times as you want, enjoy the hay maze/park set/obstacle course etc etc... and that cost me $65 total for the 3 of us including the extra campfire fee and tax. I will be going again next year and bringing more family (hopefully by then covid is a thing of the past).
