Bright Scholars Academy
We love Bright Scholars academy because our daughter has benefited immensely from going there for 2 years. I carefully researched daycares before choosing this one because it checked all the boxes. It’s clean and well lit - even in winter. They have a huge backyard and they take the children out there twice every day unless the weather is bad.The team of caregivers and educators they have is really wonderful! I enrolled my daughter at 2&1/2 years old and she has really blossomed under the personal attention provided by her teachers especially Ms.Kalyani.My daughter wouldn’t eat by herself when we enrolled her and the teachers used to feed her until she leaned. The Montessori method has helped her tremendously, in her education and practical life. For example, she has learned to use buttons, pour liquids and also has started reading. They stick to a schedule which might seem strict at first but it helps the children know what to expect and helps structure their day. They have free play for the last 2 hours of the day where the children interact with all age groups and learn from parallel play. The principal Ms. Nuzhet Karim is both professional and kind. She has lots of helpful insights when you need them. I highly recommend this branch of Bright Scholars and urge you to consider them for your children’s care and education. They have many part time care opportunities as well which can help if you want to gently transition your child into daycare.

Very satisfied with the quality of care our toddler received at the Falconer location. Our child has been happy here-- leaning not only letters/numbers, but also lots of life skills such as how to share, be kind, be respectful, control his emotions etc . We've also watched other kids in the toddler room thrive . The teachers and programs are terrific. The menu is nutritionally balanced. Everyone who goes here seem to love it. We see many siblings in different classes which is a strong endorsement. We've been impressed with the level-headed way staff handle bites/scratches/medical issues. The school yard is large, but can use some updated toys. Overall this is a safe, cheerful, quality childcare center.

During the 2 years that our daughter has been at Bright Scholars Academy Streetsville, we have found the school to be exceptional. It is run in a well organized manner, including monthly newsletters and good availability of the teachers and Principal should you wish to meet with them. The teachers and support staff are both knowledgeable and passionate about their work. They embrace the children's individual personalities to create an environment that is supportive and nurturing. The Montessori approach has really suited our daughter - with the tactile resources and opportunity for repetition, she has developed strong skills in reading, writing and math. She has enjoyed the regular interaction with children of other ages, forming many positive and caring relationships. As she graduates from BSA she is excited to start grade 1 and we are confident she is well positioned to manage the transition. We will miss BSA!

We love Bright Scholars Academy! They always treat you like family and have always provided the best education for our little ones. We have known them collectively for over 8 years now between two children, and they have created a strong foundation for their growth. All of the teachers create a warm, nurturing and safe environment for learning and development. Plus, the kids and I love the fact that they have a beautiful open green space for the children to run around in. It’s hard to to find nowadays!

My son attended Bright Scholars Academy (Falconer) for three years and we couldn’t have been more satisfied with the quality of care he received during that time. We visited an insane amount of centres before coming across BSA and the moment we walked through the door there was something so different about it. Since that time, the warmth and calmness we felt that day greeted us every morning. The teachers were caring, attentive and provided good structure whilst also allowing my son to thrive in the Montessori environment. If I had any questions or concerns, they were always met with prompt and satisfying responses and actionable solutions. My son loved every one of his teachers and they all can be credited for helping in his development. But for me, I’m grateful for them loving and caring for him as one of their own.The facility is very well-run by Ms. Nuzhet who is dedicated and always available to the children by helping out within the rooms, providing a listening ear, and often times taking a moment to share a story or little piece of information with us on our way out. I really appreciated her delicate nature and how informed she kept us.Overall we were thoroughly pleased with our time at Bright Scholars and were really sad to leave. But we’re confident our son is adequately prepared for JK as a result of his time spent. We will not hesitate to enroll our younger son in their program in the coming months.

My son started going to Bright Scholars and it has been a learning experience for us along with our son. Teachers put in so much work here, learning, disciplining and keep each child motivated. I am highly impressed and was lucky our son found a place here (my wife should get all the credit for being persistent). Keep up the great work!!

I love this school. The teachers are warm and nurturing and they always go an extra mile for the kids. My son had never been to a day care and it terrified me just to think of how he would adjust without me. But BSA made the transition so easy and smooth, not just for him but for me as well. I could see positive changes in him within days and he was definitely happier at home too. I have friends who have kids in other day cares and they tell me what a struggle it is to drop their kids every morning. My son runs into the arms of his teachers every morning and even though he doesn't talk has such great bonding with them. It is such a relief to now that your kids are safe and taken care of. Even now that I am moving within Mississauga I could not think of a better school but BSA and so moved him to a sister branch. I highly recommend this school to every parent.

For years, Shela Minhas has been involved in the community of Montessori and Day-Care Operators, specifically volunteering her time to improve the quality of childcare in Ontario. She is currently the President of the Board at CDRCP, which is the Child Development Resource Connection of Peel. She's also an executive member of ADCO (Association Of Day Care Operators), EFFORT (Extended Family Forum Offering Relief and Trust), CCMA (Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators), MTANA (Montessori Teachers Association of North America). She also chaired the ADCO Walkathon supporting Children's Hospitals in Ontario. Shela was involved in ADCO's Book Project 'Approaches to Early Years Learning' and also has committed her time to many international projects with the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre, such as 'Learning through Play', towards developing mental health of young children and their families. Anyone who knows her knows that she is a kind, soft-spoken, warm, and absolutely selfless woman. The two locations of Bright Scholars Academy, as well as it's sister schools, Bright Scholars Montessori, and Heritage Montessori are all a reflection of Shela's desire for the universal well being of children, community outreach, and life-long learning.

My two children attended Bright Scholars Academy. My daughter started when she was 2 years old and stayed there until she was 7 and finished grade 1. And my son was there from 18 months old until he was 5. If the school offered grades beyond grade 1, we would still be there. I have noticed that my kids are advanced compared to others their age. The Montessori method works so well with my children who are independent and strong willed. They are able to learn and grow at their own pace. While they were able to develop their math, reading, and life skills, they were also able to be creative and pursue their own interests. At age 4, my son was very interested in maps and could name and find and talk about dozens of countries. My daughter was able to create puppets and write a puppet show for her and friends to perform. As a working mom, I never felt bad about dropping my kids off at Bright Scholars. I know they were in good hands. The teachers are excellent. They are caring and focused of the individual needs of the student. I can't say enough to endorse this school.
