Hawood Inn

We’ve stayed here a few times a winter for almost ten years, and it’s a perfect accommodation for a relaxing winter getaway.The hot tubs have been neglected in previous years, but they’re spotless this year. The kitchens are well equipped, the log furniture is priceless, the TVs and fireplaces are good, and the staff is friendly and helpful.The free-to-borrow skis and snow shoes are great quality.The only things I miss are gas BBQs on the deck, and how there used to be a shovelled on the lake, for playing hockey on.Highly recommend any of the condos for just adults, or with kids.

My wife and I spent the weekend in the Hawood Inn and we are very pleased! The staff was friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was delicious! The scenery was second to none and we loved seeing the animals in their natural habitat!

From booking a reservation to checking out from the hotel, our overall experience was superb. Thanks to Nem C and Shen for providing us a very good deal for our accommodation. They gave us a corner room with a lakefront view. Shout out to Jane from the front desk who allowed us to check-in early. They have an excellent customer service. Also, this hotel is so close from the beach and other establishments and activities. Plus, they have huge hot tubs on their roof top which made our stay extra special. I highly recommend this hotel.

Cute place to stay, recommend if your looking for affordable, hot tubs on roof top, nice. Restaurant great service and breakfast.

We had an absolutely great experience here at the restaurant. Our server Sid went the extra mile for us. The entire staff was great too! Our son has a severe dairy and egg allergy and these people were so accommodating. There were many options and everything was delicious. They made us feel at home. We will be back and we recommend you check it out. Thank you so much.

Decided to head to waskesiu overnight to celebrate our anniversary and it was lovely. The staff were friendly, the room was nice.(the log furniture is a very neat touch) & restaurant was tasty. Roof top hot tubs were clean and we were lucky enough to have the entire rooftop to ourselves! Only thing I wish is that hot tubs were open later than 10pm, as I think they would be a great place to star watch/look for the northern lights, but overall we had a wonderful time. Will definitely come back to the Hawood Inn!

One of the nicest places I have ever seen. Very quite and your deck has view of the lake.We were there on business trip and the provided an amazing meeting room, with good food, and excellent service.It's in the heart of a what would look like a small seasonal community with lots of shops and eateries.The beach is only a few minute walk.Would recommend this to anyone looking for a little get away I'm the summer.

After reading “great” food reviews, we went for supper this Sept long weekend. The manager seating us - he was arrogant. That’s beside the point. The food for the price was absolutely awful. First we had spinach dip. The was a lot of it but it was not great and it came with a small load bacquette. It wasn’t enough to eat half the dip. We asked for more bread and they charged an extra $3. Then I had a clubhouse sandwich. The bread was burnt and fries were cold. My husband had lasagna and it was also burnt. Suggestion: when you go in a restaurant at supper and there is only 1 occupied table but the restaurant/pub down the road is lined up - ask yourself why. Should have left after the manager made a snide comment.

Hawood Inn was the perfect place to visit for our annual business meeting. Just over an hour drive from the city of Prince Albert nestled in the serene winter cover of snow laden spruce & frosty poplars. Just enough elegance & a touch of rustic beauty it was our home away from home for 2 days. Warm friendly staff, excellent food & comfy rooms & a jacuzzi on the roof to top it off!!

We had a perfect breakfast with a view of the lake. The food was great and the server Murray was exceptional. Even though the place was very busy and short staffed he did his job so efficiently and still remained calm and friendly. He is a definite asset to the restaurant!
