Love the space. Love the atmosphere. Good location. Last night was the most crowded show we’ve been to here. Almost felt like too many tickets were sold? Appreciate the water dispenser up at the bar but it was really hard to get to it through the crowd. Sad that no coffee was available this time. (Yeah, we are old.) Overall a good experience but not sure why we had to wait in line for so long after the start time of 8pm to get inside, though... The older I get the more I wish shows would start on time.

entry by donation, so please donate what you can. MOCAD was a great sunday funday stop in the D. they had 5 different exhibits by some amazing artists. Staff is super friendly. If you have time, stay for a drink on their cafe (espresso bar or full cockatil bar)

I think this museum is perfect in size, layout, and location. Big enough to house a small number of installations with an intimate feel. Its not too exhaustive so you can enjoy all art even if you visit to see one artist.

Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit
Newest addition to Detroit museum scene with open, minimalist space(s) and lots of great art shows and speakers. A personal favorite aspect is a permanent installation behind the building that is a full scale replica of the artist’s childhood home that visitors can walk through and hang out in.

Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit
Great museum. Its free and there's even a coffee shop, so you can enjoy a cup after seeing some authentic modern art. It a very wide open setting with no walls and plenty of room to enjoy yourself. There wasn't a lot of people when I went, but you could tell that many have been here. It isn't huge, but there is a nice variety.

Great art, esp. Diego Rivera, and every other genre. Museum staff is so friendly and helpful. Stay the day and have a delicious lunch in a roomy setting. A day of delight.I'm from Hartford, CT., and I visit the DIA with my family who lives here, every time I'm in town.And FREE to residents of Wayne County!

Small, but unique. I had always wanted to stop in. They take donations. I was only there for about 30 minutes. Worth it to check out.
