Great atmosphere, the views are great, local drinks a very cold and the food is 5 Star. First time there and I will be back. If you are with friends or family, this place is for you. I honestly hate sea food, and I loved the muscles. They make amazing food however portions aren’t too large.

We went tonight for the first time & had an amazing experience! Our waitress, Jade, was lovely! She was friendly, efficient and was quick to make things right. We had the PEI Chips to start which were amazing. I had the fish tacos and my partner had the lobster roll. The fries were amazing as was the lobster roll. I didn’t particularly like the tacos, which I told Jade and she immediately made things right by taking it off our bill and I had the lobster roll instead. Amazing drinks and a beautiful view of the Halifax harbour. Overall such a great time. We will be back!

My husband and I were not pleased! We were looking for Halifax downtown summer patio experience! It was absolutely awful! We ordered drinks on Heineken and single rum n coke 13.00! We ordered the mussels they were disgusting! We both had the haddock fish n chips ! The fish was nothing but filled with grease! Fries were way over fried and seasoned ! We would have a better meal at bud the spud on Spring Garden road! The server was more concerned with other customers than us! Service was so slow! We constantly had remind our server for salt, ketchup, and cutlery! People who were served after us had their orders before we had an appetizer! Never coming back! 77.00 ! What a waste of money

Listen, my favourite food that I absolutely have to get at any restaurant is a starter caesar salad. And this place is top 3 for me. Good portions, perfect amount of dressing and toppings, and I *think* the croutons are homemade and they were *chef’s kiss* - light and airy with the perfect flavour to complement the salad.The chicken burger was also one of the best I’ve had. The coating had a great taste to it that I haven’t had before, and it was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The coleslaw and mayo gave it the perfect consistency between not too dry and not too over saucy and the pickles of course gave it that yummy tang. Fries were delicious, perfectly crispy and perfectly salty. Gravy was yum too. My husband got the beef burger with the jalapeño jam and it was also so good. Perfectly cooked, not too thick and the jalapeño jam was the perfect amount of spice where there’s a zing to it but not to where you’re taking a sip of water after every bite. Everything was so good. 10/10 recommend and will come back if we visit Halifax again.Oh and we sat waterfront and it was great views!

Went for lunch from work. We think the waitress forgot to submit our order. We watched as others who came after us got food and we had waited for almost an hour. Finally, we asked the waitress about our food and she said it was because they were busy and the kitchen was backed up. There were six tables seated inside and four tables outside on the deck, so we felt she said that to cover her mistake. We had to go so we asked for the check for our drinks and to cancel our food order. We said we weren't happy with the service and she apologized but still charged us for the beer my friend drank while we waited. I know mistakes happen, but at least people should own up to it and offer compensation. Maybe the food is good....I wouldn't know...hope if you go there you have a better experience...UPDATE*** - We were invited back for a do-over and it was worth it. The food and service were great. Thanks for making things right! Kudos to Manager Matthew Brown!

Stopped here with the family for dinner, we were told there would have been a 45 minute wait, but a group canceled and we were seated immediately. Clearly a popular spot, so we were lucky for sure. Food was fantastic, all 5 of us really enjoyed our meals. Server was great (Michael I think), solid beer selection, excellent view and nice atmosphere and some some pretty good music to boot. Would recommend for sure, but maybe call ahead or make a reservation if possible. I had the Halibut en Papilotte pictured below. Cheers!

I recently had an unfortunate encounter with Pickford & Black, and I feel compelled to share my experience with you all. It is my hope that my review will shed light on the restaurant's need to improve their hospitality strategies when responding to their clients.I had been eagerly anticipating a group reservation and took the time to send them a detailed inquiry, comprising over a three paragraphs, expressing my interest in dining at their establishment. However, the response I received left much to be desired.To my disappointment, the restaurant simply replied with a short message stating, Unfortunately

Every summer we come out here and last summer was our first summer here and we fell in love, coming out this summer we needed to come here, amazing breakfast items and great lunch as well. If you are looking for a place to eat definitely come here!! Amazing food, vibes, location, great pics, everything is amazing !!

Beautiful restaurant in the heart of downtown with waterfront seating. Our food was delicious! The baked Brie was to die for. Our server was amazing. She helped me find something to eat, keeping in mind I had a seafood allergy. Will visit again.

The service was great but the food could have been better. I’ve been visiting Halifax from southern Ontario and been having Chowder on every meal except breakfast for the past few days. The chowder here unfortunately wasn’t much better than what we can get in Ontario. Will keep an eye and will visit them again the next time we are around. Loved the atmosphere and the view.
