The Bedouins Restaurant
The food is very delicious and our server was very attentive and professional. We had the family combo for around $130.We definitely are coming back with other friends.BTW - this is the first time that we tried dishes from Libia. We know can take that out from our bucket list.

Came for dinner and left satisfied. We ordered the combo dinner for our table of 5 adults. The lamb and chicken dishes accompanying the combo were delicious. More than enough food for us and to be honest most likely would have fed up to 6. In addition to the fantastic food was the great service of the staff. The staff was prompt and checked to make sure everything was satisfactory. They even found time to crack a joke and put a smile on everyone's faces. The atmosphere was relaxed and definitely a place I would recommend to have a nice homestyle meal. I will definitely be back!

Heard so many good things about this restaurant. Was really wanting to enjoy this place. But sadly there were some dishes that were cold and not so great. I don’t know…. Maybe we came on a bad night?? Our food didn’t look like the pics other reviewers had posted… disappointed because I love Mediterranean food!!We got the chicken tawook wrap — the fries in it tasted bitter(usually the result of being fried in old oil), there wasn’t much sauce in it to make it as flavourful like other places I’ve been to, there’s only chicken and fries and a brown sauce inside. It was also not very warm. Almost cold. The vegetarian option for the Barik was good. The bread they start you off with was actually very good! Was off to a good start because the soups were also very delicious! However, the kebab trio plate… the kebabs were very dry. Especially the kafta. And again, they were served with old fries. The chicken wings were very tasty but a little undercooked with some pink meat to show. We also got the tajeen J’ban and I really liked the texture and flavour of those but they were quite oily. Don’t know if it’s supposed to be like this. But overall, it was a tasty appetizer. I would like to come back to try their more popular dishes that I heard about. Maybe those will be better??

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and very nice staff. They also have a private room for large parties. The food was good and came out quickly. Service is probably the best part. Aziz was our waiter and he made sure we were all taken care of. He was very kind and nice.Delicious bread and hummus. The meals are very large portions, most people in our party couldn't finish their meals. Will definitely come back again!

The staff were incredibly friendly and we were given so much food along with our meals! The bread was freshly made and so delicious and the soup that was given was perfect. I got the shawarma plate and it had a lot of food, I even had enough for a whole lunch the next day, but it was absolutely delicious. Turkish coffee is also worth a try!

I tried this place a while back and their food was delicious. This time I tried chicken Tajeen which was good but not great. The veggies on it are delicious tho. Portions are really big. Loved the appetizers. Tea wasn’t free as opposed to what other reviews are suggesting

The Bedouins Restaurant
We were recently in Edmonton exploring that city’s vibrant restaurant scene. We’re huge fans of North African and Eastern Mediterranean cuisine so The Bedouins was high on our list of places to visit. And we are so glad we did.The food here is fabulous and priced very, very fairly. The vibe is casual and unpretentious, and the staff are friendly (even when they are run off their feet when it's busy). We wanted to try lots of dishes so as usual we ordered far more food than we could eat at one sitting. We ordered two appetizers: Batata Mbuttana (spiced, minced meat between two layers of fluffy mashed potato, breaded then fried), and; Buraik (think vegetarian deep fried spring roll). While the Buraik was very good, the Batata Mbuttana was outrageously delicious, especially when dipped in the creamy garlic sauce that accompanied the dish.We were going to order the Mashweeya Dip (essentially a roasted veggie tapenade), and the Bedouin Lamb Soup, but our server informed us that small orders of each were included with our mains so we didn’t have to order separately. Very cool!As for the mains, we ordered Chicken Tajeen and Lamb Haneeth. Both were outstanding. The Tajeen was a half-chicken (and not a small bird either) that had clearly been marinated in a medley of spices then baked to perfection. It was served on a generous bed of perfectly cooked yellow rice. Delicious! The Lamb Haneeth is advertised as roasted lamb in a mix of herbs, creating a dish “you have never seen or tasted before” - and they’re right. We love lamb and order it whenever the opportunity presents itself, so we’re picky. This was some of the best lamb dishes we’ve ever had. Complex, rich and layered flavours accent a generous portion of melt-in-your-mouth tender lamb. Seriously, if you like lamb this is a must-order dish.As for the accompanying small plates, the lamb and pasta soup was a revelation, and the lentil soup was almost as good. And the small plate of Mashweeya Dip & Hummus (served with a scrumptious warm bread) was a creamy taste delight. Heck, even the simple green salads were served up with a very tasty herbed olive oil dressing - so good!Oh, and if you like a nice strong black tea infused with fresh mint leaves order up a pot - it’s so delicious! All this for $95 (tax and generous gratuity included). Great value considering the quality and the fact that our boxed leftovers provided breakfast and a light lunch the next day.Highly recommended!
