Had the best dinner here - would love to eat here every night! The food is amazing - thank you to chef Peter! The livemusic was sublime. Can’t say enough about this restaurant - do yourself a favour and go!

I don't understand all these good ratings. We had calamari and brussel sprouts which were alright but also nothing special. We then had 2 posts of the Coho salmon salad and I don't think I've ever had a salmon as overcooked in a restaurant. It was hard and dry. Same for my husband. Also, if you let food this bad out of your kitchen (I didn't even have to cut into the fish, just by looking it was obviously tough as leather) and are told about it, you should do something to make it right.On the upside the service was very kind (if slow).

We were there for the Afternoon Menu which had extremely limited options. Ordered meal....which for the prices and ambiance, gave me a higher expectation of quality. 2 of us ordered fries with gravy on the side. The other just ordered poutine. To which the server turned to the first fries and gravy order, and in a not-so-pleasant way said, So just to be clear

Our reservation was taken easily and we received a note that out table was ready.Service was great. We ordered some appetizers a feature chicken dish, a steak and a burger. They were are prepared well, but were ALL abit salty and we gave that feedback. My friend visiting from another country commented that his burger was the size if a slider; It was. My other friend didn't complain but his steak portion didn't look amazing either. The chicken portion was good and tasted good, just a tat salty. The drinks, coffee and service were all great. Portion, value and over salty.... all things I'd mention.

It is rare that I give a 5 star rating in all categories, but I would give 6 to Pitchfork if I could. We found this spot for breakfast, but I would be happy to come back again for lunch or dinner. The food is made with quality and care, delivered to the table with a smile, and the cozy atmosphere is perfect. My eggs Benedict were amazing and the Bloody Mary delicious. Wow.

Second time here, I cannot begin to explain the delicious excitement you get here, you’re guaranteed to have delicacies, that’s it, amazing, atmosphere here is splendid as well. All the cocktails are amazing, presentation and all, the frequent changing features enhance the desire to come back more and more. By far, one of the best places you could ever eat. I would completely come out of my way to eat here. Beyond fantastic. This visit I had the cabbage rolls and started with the smoked arctic char (must have) ate it too fast to grab a photo. Dessert was the citrus cheesecake, great, two cocktails old growth forest, and the strawberry negroni, amazing.

This place had great potential from the outside. Neat outdoor space surrounded with some splashes of art by local artists. Inside was decent but tad cramped, not suitable for large parties. The menu was over priced & quite disappointing and was lacking anything that was eye catching. Decided on a burger & fries combo as that was really the only thing that felt like it couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately it went wrong. The burger lacked flavor and was dry. The fries were like wet spaghetti as they were incredibly soggy. The service was ok. Did not enjoy paying top $$$ for mediocre food.

Super quaint little place - we only stopped in for cocktails which were fantastic! A bit pricey for the amount you get but you won't be disappointed because they taste delicious!!

Highly recommended, it has been the best beef burger I've had in a long time. It was such a delicacy, the meat was juicy and super tasty. The bread was incredible. The salad and its dressing was amazing. This is a must go if you're in Nelson. The service is perfect as well.

Had two excellent dinners at Pitchfork on a recent visit to Nelson. Staff is friendly and attentive, food is delicious, cocktails and wine list are impressive. The Old Growth cocktail is fantastic! Pairs well with the calamari. Also loved the pan seared Brussels sprouts. Seared char was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin. Burger was tasty and clearly a fan favorite; everyone seemed to order it. Second night we enjoyed the mussels and clams in a really good broth and a well-executed tuna poke bowl. This is a great restaurant and worth going early if that’s the only reservation you can get.
