St Ann's is a very unique historic property. A lot of people say it is haunted by the nuns but I haven't ever seen any ghosts myself. The province bought the grounds and restored the building and now they lease out the space as office and the auditorium and chapel for events. The grounds themselves are quite something and worth wandering around if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of downtown Victoria. You can also read a wide variety of interpretive sign that are display all throughout the property.

Beautiful grounds, the orchard is a lovely spot and the forest area is amazing. Difficult to feel at peace here knowing the history of the school and of the Sisters of St Ann. They taught at residential schools and actively fought releasing records with crucial information about the residential and school system. The order staffed the Kamloops Indian Residential School, founded and operated a residential school in Duncan, and staffed the notorious Kuper Island Indian Residential School, St. Mary’s Indian Residential School, and the Lower Post Indian Residential School. It's impossible to enjoy this place with the knowledge of the evils and harms committed by the sisters who ran St Ann's when it was a school.

If you are looking for a 1 hr of leisure walk and some good photos this is good place to add to your visit in Victoria (if the chapel is open ) . Nearby there’s also a historic building of the former hospital you can take a good look at.

Historic building with beautiful chapel. Entry by donation, limited public viewing hours (no appointments needed) but they will make accommodations if you want to visit outside them. Enjoyed my visit but also disappointed I couldn't see more, as only two rooms outside of the chapel were open and public isn't allowed past the first floor. It is centrally located and worth a visit when in town.

The grounds were very nice looking and well maintained. Unfortunately with the current pandemic you could not go inside.

I discovered the Academy walking pass it while heading to the Beacon Hill park and I am so glad I decided to visit! The employee who was there was really nice. Since I'm from Quebec, it was nice to learn about Victoria's history as well as my province's history!

Wonderful place to stroll around, play fetch with dogs, and explore. Clean grounds with wheelchair access to the main building. Parking out in the back lot is a lesser known space to get nice and close to the core of downtown.

This was a residential school. The sisters of St Ann’s were also responsible for even more horrors throughout Canada and Alaska. Zero stars. Find another place to get married.

The most beautiful place for a little girls dream wedding...well second time around...this time I will have everyone I love with me...the Chapel is nicely settled in the middle of the academy. As soon as you walk it you feel a beautiful warmth of kindness...perfect location to gather...staff are so very kind...please keep in mind it has been restored to it's original state...leave a comment and definitely a donation...the gardens are beautiful...I'm glad to have a historic place in Victoria!!!! Must visit!!!
