Hair World

I've had mixed experiences here. I've been three times. I like the price and I like the fact I can just walk in. For me, the hours and location are very convenient too. However... I also had the strangest hair cut ever on my last visit. That was the first time I've ever sat down for a hair cut and not been asked what I wanted. She just got out the clippers and basically gave me a military special. I wasn't quite in shock... but I couldn't say anything. I actually thought it was funny. I've never had hair this short. It grows back, so whatever... but if you want a say in how your hair looks when you leave, you may want to stay clear. With that said, I've gone twice before and everything was fine.I suspect the man that owns the place is the reason they're usually busy. Each time I've gone, I worry that it will be a long time because there's 4 people in the chairs waiting, but then I feel special because I'm next (they're waiting for the man). The first two times I got the young girl (I think its his daughter) and she did a fine job. This last time I got another lady and, well... buzzzzzzz

I learned about Hair World Barbershop through Google, and all I can say is that their reviews speak for themselves. I'm looking forward to my next cut in this really lovely, inviting, and tidy arrangement. They are true experts in their field. Shout-out to Maya; she'll be my go-to person for new haircuts.

I've been a strictly high end salon person my whole adult life, but needed a tiny trim and wanted to save some money. I gave this place a shot and cannot believe that a $15 hair cut was the same quality as a $45 cut! Wayne is awesome, he had great tips for my hair and did exactly what I asked. I'll be going here from now on, the price can't be beat and the service was great. It's a bit run down but I don't go for the decor! Highly recommend.

Hair World is great. Been going there for probably 15 years. Gabriel the owner is the best... super down to earth and enjoyable to chat with. The place is always nice and clean and well equipped.They just moved across the street from where they previously were located and the new spot is even better then before. It’s super central and convenient.Prices are reasonable and the service is great!There’s lots of street parking which is really nice!!What more could you want??

Friendly and professional staff. A no frills shop that provides quality haircuts at very affordable rates. I've been to very expensive hair salons in Vancouver where I would have paid much more for the same service.

The proprietors dictate where you cannot park on a public street where its really none of their business and a 12 MINUTE haircut for $18.00 might be considered over priced - glad to take my business somewhere else.

Great father and daughter team. They are very reasonably priced and both very talented!
