Ali Baba Pizza Saanich

Great pizza! I've been coming here for many years and never had a single bad experience. Not sure what these low reviews are talking about because I totally have not had that experience from them. I'm no pizza expert but I've eaten at a good chunk of the pizza places around Victoria and always come back to Ali Baba. They have pizza out on the heater so if you're getting some just for yourself, no need to place an order, walk in and pick up some pizza without having to wait!Seems like they can be busy, so for those that mentioned the staff weren't very friendly with them, just have some patience! If you were stressed out trying to make great pizza for a bunch of orders, I'm not sure you would want to hang around and have a long conversation either.The consistency has stayed the same (if not improving) over the years, and for the amount of pizza you get, it's a great deal. They're not cheaping out on ingredients, you can tell it's made with high quality everything and it's quite filling. Not a thin skimpy pizza, its a real pizza! Last visit I came in few minutes before closing to order what they had off the heater (was getting 1 slice, which is actually 2 slices..sorta confusing) and they ended up throwing an extra 1 (or 2) pieces in 'on the house'. Great pizza, Great restaurant, Great environment, Great price! Don't listen to these losers who left low reviews, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO :)

I ask if the pizza was fresh and how long it had been out for the lady said ten minutes got to my car less then a minute later and it stone cold eat at your own risk

I have only ever had the slices of pizza there and they were ok. The place is super small so dont plan on eating there unless you are alone. I might eat there again if the pizzas don"t look like they have been sitting there too long."

Fave pizza ever!!! Ali Babas is our family go to for pizza. Will not order from anywhere else. Huge slices and gooey yummy cheese.

I don't know what's happening to Ali Baba. It used to be what I'd call a premium takeout pizza, but over time the toppings have become thinner and thinner and now it's just like any cheap by the slice shop. Not many toppings, and the ones that are there are bland and flavourless. The Hawaiian I ordered had almost no flavour to it at all. Even the few shards of pineapple lacked flavour and they should be the flavour that stands out.The prices are ok, if the pizza was up to its old standards, but not what comes out now. I'd rather pay more for quality than get disappointed by bland food. Then at checkout you get tip suggestions that START at 15%. I don't mind tipping a bit but not at table service levels for handing me something over the counter.

Picking up a pizza is always the wisest. It goes from 40 min delivery to ready for pick up in 15 min. We got the pizza home so hot it was amazing. They also still have shrimp as a topping, so good.

$7 for an ice cold rock hard slice of pizza.No it’s not a HUGE slice. It has hardly any toppings on it.You can get 2 slices from sarpinos for under $7 and they quite often give you 2 for the price of 1 if it’s been sitting around.I would much rather pay the same amount for a smaller slice of pizza that tastes good.Ali baba use to be decent now it is not.The slice I had was easily 2 hours old.Pizza can’t be sitting out that long and expect it to be any good.As for the reheat method, well this just makes it harder.If the slices do sit out that long you should offer them at half price, which your employees never did.Not to mention there was a fresh pizza coming out 3 minutes later I didn’t know about.The issue could’ve been rectified in the shop but wasn’t.I’m not going to bother with emails back and forth over $7.Just letting others know how disappointing my pizza was.

Victoria has gotten an influx of great pizza joints. Ali Babas still remains my go to fave after 25 years. The service and delivery from the Sannich location is simply outstanding.

Used to come here all the time when I was in high school glad to say the pizza is still great staff always seem to be okay too
