Massine's Your Independent Grocer Ottawa
I previously rated it higher but in the last 12 months along with staff cuts the client service has dramatically lowered. They used to even have a bell to recognize the service and the ambience was warm and dynamic. Security guards don't seem to be alert..just bored and in a daze whereas the former long term guard was interactive and noticeably on high alert.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. I have often had staff who are in the parking garage picking up trolleys, etc., who have helped me load my groceries into my car. (I'm usually in the handicap spot.) In the store, if I can't find something, someone always looks for it. The staff at the checkout always pack my bags. These are some of the reasons I shop there.

The prices are super high and it is really frustrating that higher up’s are making extreme profits when consumers have to suffer. Even if I decided to get a job here to make groceries affordable, I would have 10% off. That’s not even the amount of tax I would pay!That being said, workers on the floor (deli, produce, cashiers) are very kind and helpful. A special shout out to Abdul Karim, who went above and beyond to assist me in my checkout process! Genuinely made me feel valued and appreciated :)

They always have the same soups every day. They used to have more variety like tomato or lobster bisque. Now is the same thing every day. No other choice for the regular customers

Basic variety of stock nothing that catches the eye. PRICE GOUGES like you would never believe, I'm on ODSP, and I can't even afford eggs and margarine and refuse to shop here out of principle. Ok Customer service, overall unless you have the extra liquid income to spend the extra 2 dollars on an item then anywhere else by all means go here

Do not recommend. I’m often charged full price on sales items at the self checkout stations. It’s happened at least 3 times now where I didn’t notice until later. With food prices already through the roof, it’s pretty shady.

I found the food to be quite good and appreciated the option to take it home either warm or cold. The prices were also reasonable, with the option to get a full meal for under $8. However, I did find the overall atmosphere to be lacking, and the grocery store aspect of the establishment felt a bit run down. On the plus side, I did appreciate the free underground parking for 90 minutes, though the process of installing the Indigo app and registering my vehicle was a bit cumbersome. Overall, I would recommend this establishment for those looking for a quick and affordable meal, but don't expect a five-star dining experience.

New to the neighbourhood. Very pleased someone was able to help navigate the very big store! Would have been a challenge in my wheelchair, without help. Impressed by the selection. Pleasantly surprised to find a Starbucks inside.

0 stars for customer service. One of their cleaning products was put away with the lid not properly sealed. When it got to my car, it leaked all over the seat. Customer service said nothing, tried to exchange the product. Told me it was not their problem, not their product. No compensation. Never coming back here.

Didn’t actually go through, was there picking up an order for an elderly relative.But the indoor parking, close proximity to the doors for pick up parking was all fantastic. And the staff being able to take their time and pack all the items i to our own bags and containers right at the car without rushing.
