Had them come out to my mom's place a couple of years ago. It says 1 day renovation. What a joke. They were not prepared or didn't seem to care about the job. Ken was the salesman at the time and that what he was a salesman". Their radio special was good but you had to sign with them that day or not get the special. I guess they didn't want you shopping for a better deal and put this pressure on you. I was not happy with them at all and told others about the ordeal in order to help them to decide for there future home improvements. I will not use them again."

I wanted to expand my previous rating of new bath after listening to their latest radio appearance.First, we did NOT purchase our bathroom from Newbath, and we haven no experience with their installations. This review relates to our experience with the sales call. Overall, we don't have any huge complaints - but also thought we could pass on some useful information we wish we had know before they came to our home. This was a few months ago as well. The ratings above are also chosen to indicate a) a neutral quality/appeal, since we don't have any first had experience with them, and b) a lower service rating, because we weren't super impressed with the sales call.My wife signed up for their 'free installation' deal by calling in during their radio time on a local radio station (I believe it's now 80% off installation now). We were looking to have our bathroom done, and who can pass up on free installation? We had yet to do any other research on having any part of our bathroom re-done, and thought this would be a good place to start. The salesman who came was extremely knowledgeable of bathrooms, and friendly. They were also an excellent salesman - casually complimenting my wife and I on our smarts on choosing to get our bathroom redone. Our first surprise came when we found out that if we wanted the offer of free installation (or 80% off installation), we had to sign up that very day. For people who like to do some research, make sure you get some other quotes BEFORE you have their service call. We intended this to be our first quote on many for our bathroom work, and didn't really like being put under pressure. Our second surprise was some of the costs. While I'm not really knowledgeable about the costs of Acrylics, their prices for taps and shower heads seemed excessive. Again, research is key - have a look at some prices on the web for these things before they stop by. The overall cost of doing just our bathtub was more then we expected. They do offer a lifetime warranty (which is hard to beat), but we were able to get our entire bathroom done (stripped down to the studs and rebuilt, floor, toilet, vanity and tub), with tiles around the tub and on the floor, for 50% more then the cost of just our bathtub from Newbath, including our labour costs. Finally, when we indicated that we weren't 100% sure if we wanted to go with Newbath, and wanted to shop around a bit, the salesman made some comments we didn't find in the best taste, regarding that most other people who install bathrooms are hanging out down at the bar all of the time. The implication was definitely a negative one. Honestly - I could care less if somebody is hanging out at a bar, as long as they do the job they tell me they'll do on our bathroom. Those we did get to install our bathroom may have headed to the bar right after - but they did a great job, and I have no complaints. In the end, while the salesman would not extend the installation offer past the day he came, he did end up telling us that if we put our deposit down, we still had a few days to cancel, and receive a full refund. In the end, this is what we did, and our refund cheque came promptly. Some quick research online showed us that this installation was not what we wanted. It may be right for you, but just make sure you have an idea what you'd like before your sales call!In closing: Newbath sounds like a great company, and they probably are. They did NOT in anyway cheat us, intimidate us, and were nothing but friendly to us personally. However, my wife and I wish we had known a few things going in to our sales call, and definitely wish we had done more research. So, do your research, definitely give them a call if it sounds like what you're looking for, but just be aware of their prices and the free installation offer.Note: In the interest of not promoting one company over another, I have not indicated what company we ended up going with.
