Great coach and great place to learn fencing, highly recommend.

If you want to find them online. They are now the Epic Fencing Club, Calgary. This place is incredible. Don't let the facade of the Patterson community centre fool you.Don't let the looks of the basement fool you.There is magic happening here.It's in the hearts of the people.It's in the Coaches, it's in the athletes (I'd say children, but here they are athletes), it's in the adult athletes, and the world's best who practice here and help the kids along .This place is amazing.

Signed up to this fencing class during part of the Sport Calgary thing. I joined the wait-list as the class was already full. I was relieved to get the call later on saying there was a spot, at this point my garden fence was almost completely over so this fencing class came at the exact right time. I asked if they I needed to bring my drill or anything for the class but was assured all I need was a pair of runners,steel toed would be more appropriate in my opinion. On arrival I met my fellow class mates and our instructor, she was a young lady and I didn't want to stereotype but I was a little sceptical as to how many fences she's actually installed. I was happy to see that they had the safety aspect covered with white coveralls and strange safety make. We were clipped in to a tethered line and given very strange looking hammers, they looked like swords. I think this first class must have been more team building as we just poked each other with the hammers and never really got to any fencing. It was a very enjoyable evening and the poking instructor was great, I guess she used to poke for Canada. I'll have to call a contractor for the fence work.

My kids just started fencing. Very welcoming to new comers and they make it super easy to get started. High quality instruction, fun, and affordable. I'm impressed.

Great fencing club, love it and the coach's are strict, but experienced and great at what they do.

Great for all ages, kids learn balance, speed, fòtwoek, self discipline and competition along with social skills.The instructors give each person their space to grow as a fencer and guide them along the way.Many tournaments to enter for oportunity to build skills while meeting new people.

Elya is an absolutely wonderful coach. If you want to learn how to fence, I would highly recommend joining this club.
