Green Gables Bungalow Court Cottages

It's hard to know what rating to give a place that you never actually got to stay at.Just know that my 1 star rating is based on their cancellation/refund policy. Because of covid restrictions, we could not enter Canada and had to cancel our reservation (made through hotels.com) for 2 nights stay here. Our trip was ruined and we were devestated. To add salt to the wound, Green Gables Cottages pocketed ALL of the $200 we paid for our reservation. I was told that given the amount of notice we gave-- about 30 hrs before check-in time-- we would not be refunded because our room was already cleaned and ready for us. While I honestly tried to be sympathetic to their plight (I wouldn't want their staff to suffer), it seems completely unreasonable to not even offer partial refund. After all, I highly doubt they paid their staff anywhere close to $200 to clean and prepare our room. And I do understand that us reserving the room in advance prevented them from being able to rent it to someone else, but they admitted to me that at this time of year they don't exactly have people lining up to stay.They were not unkind in our communications. I was offered a discount on a future nights stay (20% off during non-peak months, 5% off during peak season). Unfortunately, we do not have the means to make another attempt at travelling that far any time in the near future, and if we did, I don't think we would choose to stay at this establishment.

Awesome location, ample space, good utilities. Shower is little congested and some rooms had faulty fire alarm. Service desk at the day shift is lot better than the night, better get things done before dusk. We need to carry even basic items like coffee, sugar, etc. Rooms could been little more dust free.

Well....VERY cheap, and you get what you pay for?Good location, though :)

Never going back! We were there two weeks ago, experienced mice and earwigs in the cabin. We agreed to move to a smaller cabin (as that was the only one available) and when I asked about price adjustment from bigger cabin to smaller one, I was told they are the same price. Very friendly staff but poor customer service on the owners part! The one star I gave is for the staff! I wish I had read the reviews before booking.

my wife and i stayed in the studio small cabin back in 2018 and really enjoyed it so we came back! Staying now for 5 days this time with 4 kids under 4 and grandma. it’s only been one night so far but the cabin has everything you need, the kids love the playset and cabin. the cabin was very clean on arrival, bed linen was clean, the cabins are exactly as pictured online. it’s not fancy but it’s a cottage through and through! well kept cottages in an amazing area and clean. who can ask for more especially for the price! Also staff were very accommodating and kind during all interactions leading up to our stay and upon arrival. they even honoured a discounted price when we asked to stay a few more days last minute.

My cousin and I stayed here for about a week. Our hosts were so nice. They would bend over backwards to do anything they could to make our stay more enjoyable. They even provided everything we needed to prepare a lobster dinner. We only had to buy the food. The y even opened the pool a little early because a father asked them too as it had gotten quite hot one day. Like I said, anything at all that they could do. I recommend them highly.. Great experience.

It was a nice stay in this cottage, they have provided every necessary stuff in the kitchen and they were always responsive.As the price is so good the quality is as good as the money you pay . So do not expect that much because you did not pay huge money .I had great time in this place . Calm and peaceful.I think if you care so much about cleanliness of sheets and blankets ; brig your own . The comforter and blankets were not neat and clean .The location is good and near everywhere in Cavendish .Have a great trip!

Wonderful stay! The cabin provides plenty of room for 1 or 2 people, and the kitchen is very well stocked with the necessary utensils and cookware. Mere steps away from the Green Gables Heritage Place and was centrally located to drive to/from all of PEI's other big attractions. Excellent communication from staff (Gavin) as well. Will be my first choice for accommodation on my next trip to PEI!

Very relaxing place. The owners are super friendly and always available when you need them. The landscape is kept very clean and the cabins are clean as well. Each cottage has everything you need. I stayed there 1 week with my family and enjoyed it very much. A couple of negative points; the bathroom doesn't have a counter around the sink so it made doing certain things a little inconvenient. I personally found that there weren't enough electrical outlets, but if you don't have a lot of gadgets to charge then this won't really be a problem. They do offer WIFI but the truth is, it was quite slow, so don't expect to do much surfing unless you want to get frustrated.Some nice perks about this place would be the free books that you could check out while you stay there (decent selection), the pool which the kids loved, and the close proximity to Green Gables. We actually just walked across the lawn to the Green Gables office so that was really awesome. Overall, a really nice place to stay. Worth checking out.

Great place, very very clean. Cabin smell really good. They were installing a new liner in the pool. Well taking care off. We will be back . Perfect location to be in the middle of it all. 2 min walk to the green gable, walking trail of cavendish right in front. Beautiful golf court minutes away and lots of attraction for the kids minutes from it .
