Love it here! I've stayed at McLaren with my family a few times now, and it's been a great experience each time. The campground is nice and quiet, and the views to the river are spectacular. There isn't much noise from the nearby Highway 2; we stayed in one of the cabins, which does have a line of sight to the highway, but there are several campsites within the campground where I'm sure you wouldn't hear it at all - and it's not very busy at night anyway.Possible negatives would be that there's a lot of open area, and some of the campsites are pretty exposed, so if you want a more private place to pitch your tent, this probably isn't it. But it's pretty safe and people aren't creeping or anything. The showers were hit and miss at times in terms of cleanliness. The bathrooms were fairly decent, and the campground has enough of them that you're not walking super far to get to the bathroom from any of the sites.Easy access to the nearby town of Ingleside, which has a grocery store and a few other things.

Stayed in this camp ground for the 1st time last July with my sister and daughter. Loved it so much we came back in August for another week. Couldn't get enough of so we decided to return in September for another 7 days. The camp sites we stayed at were all perfect. Washrooms were clean and showers had plenty of hot water. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The free internet was a bonus. Already booked for July 2023. Can't wait to return for another enjoyable week. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Beautiful place, huge sites, mature trees, close to water for all aquatic activities. Beautiful bike paths connecting all St-Lawrence Parks. Lost 1 Star as it does not offer Seniors Discount for serviced sites, which makes no sense.

I really don't understand all the positive reviews. It's like camping in a city park in downtown Toronto - no privacy, loud, a lot of boat traffic and jetskis, very small sites, hardly any trees, and mediocre beach. We left after the first night. Might be tolerable if you have an RV, but definitely do not come if you're a tent camper.

I love this place! 2nd year we camp there on the island and I would recommend that campground anytime. If you like sunsets, choose the West side locations and you will not regret it. So beautiful!Very calm campground, no party, no music, just enjoy the nature. Employees are always friendly, helpful and happy.Showers are clean and easy to use (with hot water) and there are drinkable tap water locations where you can refill anything for free.I will go back next year!

Great camping, spacious lots, beautiful views, easy backing into sites, clean restrooms. The sites could use more gravel and levelling, and potholes are vicious on the roads (I guess they deter speeding so may be part of the strategy). Can't wait for next year.
