American Eagle Store

This review is related to online purchasing and customer service.I ordered an online gift card for my 16 year old Son on September 1st. After speaking with him, he advised that he hadn't yet received the e-card. I called American Eagle this morning and spoke with Miranda. It was some of the best customer service I have ever received when calling in for an issue like this. She was polite, apologetic, sincere, and quick. She resolved the solution in under 6 minutes, and it was an absolute joy to deal with her.Great job in training your customer service staff on the telephone American Eagle!

I wear a size 12 long jegging IN THE SOFT DENIM.... they never have it in stock. It seems as though they cater to the small sizes but the reality is size 12 is normal. Please get some diversified stock in... I am a regular customer at American Eagle. I have been buying their jeans for many many years so if they want to keep people as customers they need to keep their product on the shelves.

Not once were we asked for help or offered assistance. There was another girl in the dressing room who asked for a small size of what she was trying on, the employee never came back with the skirt so the customer had to get it herself. We have shopped many times at this particular American Eagle and have always been happy. It was a very disappointing experience. I think customer service is really lacking in this particular store.

If there were a '0', I would give it. I ordered something for my daughter, realized that I was not prompted to give my suite/apt number - mentioned it - was told there was nothing they could do because they had hit OK for the order and I had to wait until I got notification of transit, then I had to call and have the address amended. Spent over an hour online with Canada Post - the tracking number is INVALID. They told me to contact the shop. I did. I was told they could not do anything and I should have corrected it within 60 minutes of ordering (I did - within 2 minutes !!!!). Only option - cancel the order, which was a present for my daughter who I only get to see 3 times a year. This is TERRIBLE customer service!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting 3 days and can now not give my daughter her present !!!!!!!! Train your employees to give the correct information and prompts from the beginning. Will not be shopping here again, even if it is one of the only stores which (currently) can provide jeans long enough and skinny enough for my daughter.

Maddy went above and beyond to help me find some jeans that I was able to feel confident in. There is nothing I hate more than shopping for jeans but she was so helpful and made it a positive experience. I ended up buying not one but two pairs of jeans which never happens. Thank you Maddy!

Not pertaining to the physical store...I ordered over $200 of goods online, and received a sweater with the security tag still attached. I do not live in a location where I have access to a store to have it removed. I have been waiting for compensation for a month for the mistake on behalf of the company, but haven't received anything (though I was told it would be sent my email, and then by mail). It's now at a point where I am not willing to send the garment away (a knit sweater) because by the time I receive it back, it will be summer!!! What an absolute waste of time, and every representative I talked to flat out refused any kind of monetary compensation...just telling me I needed to mail it at my own cost and be refunded shipping AFTER, or wait until I can get to a store. After much nagging, I was offered a 20% off coupon which I never received. I will never be shopping within the American Eagle family ever again!! As someone who has been in customer service over 10 years, this company is a JOKE! Terrible values!

Wish I could rate this a big fat ZERO! Horrible staff. I never really shop here, but I decided to go in with my mom over the weekend. We were looking at some clothes on one of the hangers. I was touching one of the sweaters and checking for a size when one of the younger employees comes over and starts sifting through the sweaters I was looking at and kind of pushed me out of the way. She didn't seem to notice her oblivious natures, so I just laughed it off. Then my mom and I were looking at some more clothes on one of the tables when the same employee and another one comes over right into our space again. Only this time she pulls the drawer out from right below my mom and right into her knee cap really hard. She said sorry and kind of giggled to her friend. Me and my mom walked right out that store to never return. Honestly, do they even interview these kids? I do not recommend going to this location.

Just had the best experience ever buying jeans, even though I was vague on what styles I even wanted/thought I would like. The sales gal Maddy goes above and beyond! She was so helpful and kind helping me pick out pairs she thought I would like. Hands down best shopping experience I've had in years, thank you Maddy!

Beware of buying stuff on sale here. When I returned a pair of jeans that had a ripped seam from the factory that was bought on sale I was informed by the general manager that the company policy is to charge you the difference between the sale price and the full price on returns. On top of that the managers were both rude. Will not be going back.
