We ordered a custom cake for a birthday party and it was exactly what we wanted! Beautifully made and unbelievably tasty. The baking team was professional and flexible the whole way through. Would highly recommend!!!

Not the best sourdough. More like a nice fresh loaf of white bread. I read about the 36 hour process but… well, I much prefer the sourdough from other bakeries, texture and flavour.

Cute shop, with a variety of options of sweet and savoury pastry. It was also my first time trying Nanaimo bar - and I’m so glad I got it from here! It was delicious. I also LOVED the cheese scone. So buttery and flavourful.

Amazing. Son is an avid chess fan at 13 so we asked this bakery to make a chess inspired cake and they blew us away. It was checkered on the inside too. Thank you so much!

We booked our wedding cake through hearthstone bakery and they were amazing to deal with, communication and creativity was perfect ! They also went to turleys themselves to pickup the floral for the wedding cake and went above and beyond and brought my vision to life over the phone ! The cake was beautiful and delicious! Thankyou so much !

Beautiful bakery with amazing variety of choices. Their house made bread is great with daily changes so you can make different choices to what you feel for. The brownies and scones that I had was very good. I haven’t tried yet but they said they got the award for the best Nanaimo bars! I will try it next time I visit. I highly recommend this place! Check it out!

I’ve given Hearthstone many opportunities in the last few years as it’s not far from my home. Unfortunately I’ve been disappointed with almost everything I’ve tried except for the croissants (which at 4.50 I find too expensive to purchase often). I’ve ordered a birthday cake, had their muffins, cupcakes, danishes, brownies and yesterday I got a cinnamon bun from them which is what made me write this review. It was terrible. Overcooked, so much dough ratio to icing. I don’t think I’ve ever had a cinnamon bun with such little icing, it’s like they just skimmed the top. People like icing, it’s one of the best parts of a cinnamon roll. I’m done trying things in hopes I will like something. I’ve given it a more than fair chance. The cinnamon roll was the final straw!

Fantastic baked goods, friendly staff. Their sausage rolls are especially good. They sometimes have veggie currey rolls for a vegetarian option.
