Prairie Winds Animal Clinic

SO THANKFUL for this vet clinic! My senior dachshund needed emergency dental extractions when I was in Calgary vacationing for a month. It was a completely unexpected expense and I was so stressed out calling vets all over the city getting quotes while being worried I wouldn’t be able to afford his surgery. I contacted Prairie Winds & learned they have a cap on ALL dental extractions if $750 regardless of the amount of teeth extracted. There was a $50 consult free and mandatory bloodwork $250 prior to surgery. So I ended up paying $1,000.00 ALL of it - the consult, bloodwork, anesthesia, teeth cleaning, 8 teeth extracted, 10 days of antibiotics & 4 days of pain medications. I am so thankful. My doggy is doing WAY better now. Thank you so much

Everything went well, our cat came out just fine from her spay. I did accidentally get a microchip put in our cat. I thought I had just signed for e collar not micro chip. She probably needed one anyway but I didn’t expect that to be done at the same time.

Great experience had my dog spayed here. Receptionists are amazing and friendly doctor was great. My dog is normally nervous when they take her away from me but she wasn’t here. Shopped around and could not believe what other clinics were charging compared to Prairie Winds. Thank you for pricing that means you don’t have to be a millionaire to own a pet in Calgary!

I brought my very old cat to the clinic last week,the doctor found an issue that was missed by doctors at a larger affiliated vet that charged me over 700 dollars. I found the entire staff to be kind and very helpful and to top it all the visit cost 92 dollars including the prescription. I'm on a fixed income and have spent over 11000 on my ancient pets over the last few years. I wish that I had been aware of Prairie Winds earlier, just imagine how much less my vet bills would have been. From now on my first call will be to the excellent staff at Prairie Winds when my furry friends aren't feeling well. Thanks guys!

They take of my furbaby with handling her with love and understanding she is stressed for getting her nails done ... Would always recommend them to family and friends with fur babies

Normally I don't write reviews, but I really appreciate their services and their pricing. Staff were very nice, especially the ladies at the front desk, as well as some of the vets. It's very refreshing and re-assuring to have a vet clinic in Calgary that offers such high quality services for such cheap prices for those who are struggling to pay for their pet's basic cares and needs.

The receptionist is very nice the price is very reasonable.Had my REX(dog) neutered by the clinic and they were amazing. The clinic gave detailed instructions for pre-op as well as post-op care. They called as soon as surgery was done. Best of all cheapest for quality care. Highly recommended. Thank you, Prairie winds animal clinic.

I took my mishka to this clinic as it was an emergency, we were leaving for a long trip and she seemed like she had ear infection. Dr singhla was so patient and so loving with her. He gave her so many treats and the staff was just lovely … I hate that I didn’t find this clinic sooner … really recommend this doctor … I see there are some bad reviews here but our experience was excellent … they were so friendly and nice !!

Had my cat spayed 2 weeks ago, everything went well. Charged less than quoted, accepted the head cone to keep her from licking her scar, this way, no infection. They even trimmed her claws for free.Very satisfied.
