My small dogs required medication that had to be compounded. I called and spoke with Kristen, one of the Pharmacists, and she advised that she was unable to fill the prescription at her pharmacy however she was happy to send it out to her Parksville store and have it back the next day. You can imagine my surprise when later that evening Kristen's husband Mel was at my door with the medication in hand! I was blown away and was amazed at the level of customer service they provide. I have made the Medicine Shoppe on Departure Bay Road my go to pharmacy and I highly recommend them to all my family and friends

Kristen and her staff always go above and beyond in their customer service. They are so professional and deal quickly with preparing my medication, having it ready for pick-up or delivery the same day as they receive the request from my out-of-town physician. Kristen and staff always explain the purpose of the medication in relation to the medication protocol that I am already on. They always prepare me for any possible side effects, and how the new drugs may interact with my existing protocol, which I deeply appreciate. They are patient and always kind and friendly both in person and on the phone. As a customer, I feel safe and confident that they are keeping tabs on my medication and are taking the very best of care of my family and myself. Kristen is a wonderful pharmacist. She has personalised her service to give our family the appropriate advice about the over the counter medications we need during our trip to Nanaimo. Her other pharmacist, Jen is also an awesome person. She also provided lots of useful tips and tricks to keep ourselves healthy during our travel. If ever we will come back to Nanaimo, this is the place we would always love coming back to.
