The staff at Nanas is always so incredibly friendly and helpful. The selection of European goods is great and they are always fully stocked. The pitas, burek and kiflice fly off the shelf so make sure to get those as early as possible. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Total gem of a place, tucked into an out of the way spot in Burnaby The grocery selection is immense with goods from Serbia and countries around it. Bought the tender and fluffy pogacha bread, dried white beans grown in Serbia, and some great paprika. There was a steady flow of customers buying sweet and savory pastries and by the interaction they had with the folks behind the counter I could tell they were regular.I felt like I was in another country without having to travel and lusted after the giant, unglazed ceramic cooking vessels and griddles that were for sale. If I ever need a pot to cook for 50 people, I'll definitely be back to get one!

My Gosh! A Balkan experience right in Burnaby! Had the cheese pastry warm and the Bosnian coffee at the shop. Convenient chairs and tables setup outside.Loved it all!Lots of authentic foods inside. Will be back to eat some chevapi. Highly recommended.

Nana's bakery has whole bunch of stuff from ex-yu. You will most likely find anything you remember eating as a kid growing up in any part of former Yugoslavia. Smoki is on a top of a fridge in the case you don't see it around :) We also enjoyed eating their freshly baked pita (sirnica and zeljanica) and of course you can't go wrong with chevapi. Eating all this with Kokta was extra bonus. We plan to visit again next time we find ourselves up in Vancouver BC.

I have been a regular customer to this place but be careful when they charge. Double check on the weight and the price. I got 1/3rd of a kilo but when weighed at home it was 236g instead of 333g. Shady business

Love this place!! You want something different, this is the place! Their rolls are awesome. Tried most of them and they don't disappoint. Their baked items are good as well. They do have a menu on the side of the fridge, those are the next items to try. It might look small but they do have a room full of canned and preserved goods on the side. The selection of treats is nice and lots of items you want to try and won't be disappointed.

First time ordered from this little place, so crowded around lunch time. Food is amazing. This is first time we tried this kind of food too but the stuffed pastry filling was soft and juicy, both cheese and beef. Will definitely come back to try more dishes
