Wine Rack

This review of Elgin Street's Wine Rack is based on a phone call. It was Christmas Day and it looked, according to Google like they were actually open. I called to check and the lady who answered the phone told me yes they were and their hours without my even asking. I think it was a cross between a telepathic connection and the poor clerk being very busy with the insatiable beverage needs of the holiday crazed public and having had this exact phonecall incessantly all day. Some of it was definitely telepathy, had to be. My call was for my neighbour, definitely in that insatiable category and he had a joyful visit.I just wanted to appreciate those folk that went in to work on Christmas Day, during our pandemic apocalypse, so that holiday crazed people could buy some of that precious fuel, so essential to surviving the holidays. It must have been an exhausting day and those guys and gals who worked, really took one for the team. Thank you, you are Angels.I'm not certain how I feel about the suits who don't understand that holidays are more than just presents, cocoa, cheer, family and friends, and more than just marking yet another birthday for the J-man. I witnessed the discrimination of the staff and I was shock they did it in 2022 at Ottawa. How can Wine Rack has staff lick that nowadays? I traveled around the world and never thought that I would have that in Canada. Horrible experience and I don't think I will visit wine rack again. Full stop.

Worst shopping experience ever! Bought here wine every Friday. Today forgot my id in the car. After bringing to the cashier for check she refused to sell without explanation, the security guy jumped on me and told to leave! Disgusting service

Love me a Wine Rack. Great prices great products. Arguably better service than LCBO because they are in sales for retail. LCBO isn't, they are the warehouse of alcohol. Playful experience here.

They have selection constantly, and most of their products offered, are chilled in the fridge. If you don’t see something, don’t be afraid to ask for assistance. They’re down to earth and happy to be there.Always a good visit, never any issues, and any problems that has previously arose, was promptly taken care of.Very satisfied here :). Thanks guys!!

this place Saved my evening as I was late and had the responsibility of bringing wine. Well .. on a Sunday pretty much everything closes early and you can't get ANY TAKE-HOME alcohol after 8pm - so I was screwed (or unlikely screwed).... Except for these heros being open with great selection! Thanks- you made the dinner party turn out great.I think they are open SUNDAY EVENING TILL 11 PM

The collection may not be extensive, but the customer service is exceptional. I want to express my gratitude for the friendly and helpful customer service provided consistently.

Listen...... Wine Rack was there for me on a Thursday night at 10:30 when no one else who sold wine in my vicinity was. Prices decent, especially when there are sales. Variety not extensive but decent, and sometimes they have samples.

This location is musty. Let’s start with the location being infested with mould (you can smell it) & finish with the sheer lack of respect for the staff members. Sharon is a perfect representation about what not to do in management. I overheard a conversation about her cancelling a staff members shift without notice because she was a WOMAN. Seriously? It’s 2022..Get it together.
