Style Encore - London, ON

LOL used to be a good store but now have raised their prices. I got a notification that right now it’s 90% off. Only ONE rack had stuff for the clearance. They are charging like $15-20 or even more for items are are USED! Style encore get REAL you are a second hand store. Waste of time next time I’m going straight to Talize or Plato’s. Atleast their pricing is reasonable. Why would I pay $15-20 minimum for a used item when I could even go to Giant Tiger or Costco and get it for new at that price. These people need a serious reality check. I saw a nice maxi dress there and guess what it was $40 LOL for a used maxi dress LOL what a joke! Wow. Talked about DUMB!!!

The selection of clothing is 100% perfect. If you can’t find what you’re looking for here you have a problem. Why I gave a three star is because of the service that the manager gave us. We came up to the cash and she was very rude to us. I ended up, leaving without even getting my eight items of clothing. My sister had a 15% discount on her loyalty number and was confused that all of us could’ve gotten the 15% discount if she put all of it together. I was willing to pay for all my three sisters outfits which would’ve come well over $200. However, the manager at the time stated she would not Refund the one order so that we could all get 15% off. My sister stated if another manager was there she would’ve done that for her and this manager at the time stated “I am the one here and you’re not getting the discount.”She was quite rude to my sister, who is mentally handicapped And shops at this store all the time it was very disappointing to see how harshly my sister was treated. It’s not really about the discount. It’s about customer service. There was no kindness shown to my sister that she had made a mistake by going up to the cash first. In this world we should all be a little bit more kind to one another. The other workers were unbelievably friendly and helpful to us during our “shopping adventure” we have twice a year as sisters. It was so sad at how this manager MANAGED my sister’s miss understanding…

I have sold to Style Encore before (4-5yrs ago) and had a wonderful experience. Today was the complete opposite. I brought in 2 bins full of immaculate, freshly washed, folder and organized clothing and shoes. I have spent thousands of my wardrobe. They only purchased a small handful of things that were from Rickis or Reitmans. The amount of clothing from Le Chateau in there was at about 75%. While I understand they are no longer in business they were established for selling beautiful HIGH QUALITY clothing. When i asked the employee why most of the items were not purchased she gave me a ridiculous answer. And when I said the clothing on the racks were very well worn compared to what I have all she said was to show her the clothing on the racks. I will never be coming back. Save your time and your gas. I am out money trying to clean and sell clothes to this business. Sellers beware.

I recently placed an online order with Style Encore London. Of course it’s always a bit stressful purchasing preowned pieces sight unseen, but I was thrilled with the high quality of the pieces upon receiving the package. Everything was exactly as photographed on the website and I’m extremely happy with my purchase. They even included a hand written note with the package, which was packed very well. Super cute! I will definitely be ordering again, and I already have my eyes on a few pieces. I only wish I lived closer to this location because they have some amazing selection!

I have been able to find some great finds here!!!! A few years ago it seemed to offer mostly clothes from places like Reitmans and styles that seemed to appeal to middle aged women. They now have more options, including many stylish and on tend items geared towards a younger demographic.

Unfortunately had somewhat of a bad experience there today. I brought in some clothing that was my girlfriends. All of which were purchased during covid. So within the last two years. I’m not sure if the lady with the green hair is just bad at her job or felt the need to make some kind of smarmy statement to me. I was told all clothing is too worn and older than 5+ years. I’m not sure if it is because I am a male bringing in clothing, as I know this is a women’s clothing store, but it felt very rude. She should be further educated on clothing and it’s tags as they change throughout the years if she wants to make this business a good profit! Platos closet had no issues with the items

Visited for the first time today to consign some items, and it was an incredible experience. The staff are very warm and welcoming. I have had negative experiences at other consignment shops in the city where staff have been very uppity and patronizing (despite having a very dated collection of clothing, so nothing to be boasting about). Style Encore was the total opposite. I can’t wait to go back and hunt for treasures. A gem in London.
