Do not give these guys your business, I have made the mistake of using them for the past 5 years and every year they screw up my tax returns, or forget to file important information which could potentially cost me thousands of dollars. They are an absolute joke and have no idea why they are in business still

I've had Gordon Douglas doing my income tax at Liberty Tax for 2 years now. I was very happy with my return. Best of all, it didn't cost me nearly as much as the other company I'd been going to. I'll be going to this Liberty Tax branch again next year.

Gord is the only competent employee there. I visited 3 years ago and am still paying off the receptionist at front desk mistake.... Do not go here.

After over paying my income tax for 5 years at H&R Block, , I switched to Liberty Tax. Gordon Douglas has saved me about $1000 a year. I highly recommend him and his staff.

It was a disappointment. The guy who did my taxes , his name is Oleg, had low communication skills, he didn't know some basic stuff that could help me in my tax deductions. At the end when I came back home and review what he did, found out he messed up a number and claimed a crazy amount of deductions... had to go again and redo everything. I always filed my taxes myself, but this time thought a pro can do it better. Seems like that I went to a wrong place.Update:He added my spouse to my file although she was not living here with me and I repeatedly emphasized this to him. I got review letters and still waiting for my notice after a whole month. I am gonna go to their office and sort this thing out. Ridiculous!

I had my taxes done there a couple years ago (including foreign taxes) and got excellent service and lots of money back! It wasn't cheap to get them done, but I think it was worth it as there were no hassles or problems.

I'm sure Gordon is great to deal with in person as this location has many positive reviews, however my personal experience has been very stressful dealing with them via distance.Emails or info intended for me were twice sent to other people - the first time my info was accidentally sent to someone else who lives at the same address as me who was also looking into Liberty Tax's services, and a second time a document intended for me was also sent to an email address that wasn't mine and I had never given them. Mistakes happen but that kind of mistake, made twice, really shook my confidence in their ability to keep my information safe.Additionally, someone I know contacted this branch for assistance with their taxes and was asked to give his social insurance number over email which seems like a big security concern to me, especially when they're making mistakes like sending emails or attachments with personal info to the wrong people (yikes!).Ultimately I decided to cancel going ahead with this branch's services.

My experience with Liberty Tax was fantastic. I had read a few bad reviews about H&R block, and in one of the reviews, a guy mentioned Gordon and Liberty Tax. I decided to give them a shot as they were fairly close to my house.The receptionist was kind and friendly when I called, and chatty and fun when I arrived for my appointment. I had to fill out some initial paperwork as I was a new client, but it didn't take that long.I showed up on Friday afternoon around 2:30 pm with 4 yrs of taxes to do - two were from Quebec where I previously had lived, and two were from BC. Gordon gave me the option of staying, or coming back to pick them up. I decided to stay as it was Friday and I wanted to be done with it for the wknd. He wasted no time in getting started, and did not seem bothered with my request to stay.By the time Gordon finished all four(4) years of my taxes, it was 5:20 pm - his receptionist had already left for the wknd. The costs for my two years of Quebec returns were $150 each; for my BC returns, $90 each. When I mentioned the cost to my folks who have theirs done as well (not by Liberty), they both said the price was more than reasonable.By the time I actually left, it was 5:45 pm. Gordon wasn't bothered by having to stay late.. on a Friday of all days. I'm not so sure other tax services would be willing to do the same. On a side note, I had made several calls to several H&R offices, only to get an answering machine, and never actually speaking to someone. Very frustrating, and not good for customer service. My call to Liberty was answered immediately... by a person!I have detailed my experience in this lengthy review, but I felt compelled to write this as they were more than deserving. If you choose Liberty Tax, I can't foresee a reason why your experience wouldn't be the same. Thanks Gordon!Kyle B.

Gordon and Danielle at the Broadway Liberty Tax office are fantastic.Both are energetic, thorough and efficient. They took the time to look up any possible deductions I could use, such as tuition fees and worked to get me the best possible return without hassle.Their fee is based on the complexity of the job, and very reasonable.I highly recommend their services to anyone!
