Super 8 by Wyndham Kirkland Lake

Dirty, funky smell, bath tub water wouldn't drain after shower. Bathroom was filthy and rooms weren't clean. Avoid if possible.

My friends and I came to this hotel. And we have to say.. we enjoyed the stay! The rooms were lovely and the beds were so comfortable. We left with full bellies from the wonderful complimentary breakfast.

The Staff were nice and very helpful making sure we have everything we need.The rooms were cozy and clean.I enjoyed the breakfast as well, it was pretty good.No complaints really, would stay here again.

Stayed here for a snowmobiling trip over family day weekend (Friday night till Monday morning). The staff was amazing,very friendly and helpful!Rooms were dated/showing their age, but otherwise clean and odour free.The physical sizes of the beds was small in 2/3 rooms we had, our group was mostly couples so this wasn’t a big issue.Breakfast was good, nothing spectacular (only hot items were waffles/coffee/tea) However, it tasted good, and there was always plenty of food.Close to a Tim’s if needed and right across the street from a foodland too.I would stay here again for another snowmobiling trip and recommend to anyone looking for a more budget friendly option

Awesome place to stay for sledders. Trail comes up beside the hotel. Large parking lot to accommodate for multiple trucks with trailers. Good breakfast and clean rooms.

If my review seems too long, the short version is that everything their website shows and says is accurate...The best price in town (more on that at the end...). The rooms are clean and are being renovated as I write this. They're mostly done the work now The staff is friendly and helpful.There is a bar open from 5-11 in the evening, but the selection of drinks is very, very limited. It has a coin pool table. Within a few months, a restaurant/lounge will be open as well. The patio will be theoretically open then too, but probably not in time to use much in 2023.Breakfast is included in the price of the room. As of Canada Day, 2023, there are waffles, toast, muffins, cereal, and yogurt, with juice and coffee. I've been told that they will eventually offer a steam table with bacon and eggs and whatnot.On the big roadside pylon sign out front they claim they will beat any price, What they don't say is that the only other places in town are a more luxurious Wyndham place called the Microtel and, in turn, their (Microtel) actual price competition, the Comfort Inn. It's a pretty safe bet they will never have to act on that promise lol.In short, the Super 8 motel is solidly and honestly, a two-star place, exactly as advertised...

The hotel exceeded my expectations was spotless, the staff was amazing, and the most comfortable bed has ever slept in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable.The staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door.Overall, I had a great experience staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. Would definitely stay there again. !

Older motel, room wasn't as clean as it could have been, but suited our needs.Location was perfect for our snowmobile trip. Lots of amenities within walking distance. The included breakfast was pretty good.

Staff were very pleasant. The room was adequate for the two night stay. No issues with the fantastic staff that eloquently greeted me throughout the evening and night.

Went to Kirkland Lake for work which held a conference in the Super 8 meeting room. Meeting room was large held 30 people easily. I also stayed at the hotel, the rooms were spacious and clean. Best part of the stay was the staff who went out of their way to ensure we were all comfortable.
