Laminated. Pastries. I've been gluten free since early 90's and haven't had a croissant since. They had four options. FOUR! Croissant, almond croissant, choclatine, and almond choclatine. I've been in a gluten-free bakery in Lyon, France - and these guys were even better. Gluten-free (calorie-full!) paradise. Their case was beautiful and filled with cheesecake, lintzer cookies, macarons, cakes, and a gorgeous row of st. honore, and I'll say I was very tempted by that shiny, sweet stack of choux pastries filled with cream. If it wasn't clear, I WANNA GO BACK (but just, every Saturday and maybe Wednesdays just because).

The owner? Manager? I'm not sure but whoever he is, he's great. He let us know when fresh rolls came out of the oven so we could have one. I haven't had French bread in ten years and was so happy to have it again! Their food is so yummy! The moussaka was a delight on top of treats. Celiac and non Celiacs should visit. They also have lots of keto friendly treats which is amazing.

Both me and my wife having food allergy’s this place was a gem to find. The croissants being both gluten free and dairy free are amazing and they also have a nice selection of other pastries and desserts. I would highly recommend stopping here

I love the atmosphere of this place! Their coffee and pastry are super delicious, and the barista is really nice, fast and helpful. They also have a great selection of gluten free products that you can purchase.

Delicious gluten free and I think also dairy free croissant, as well as many other tasty French pastries with clear allergens list. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended.

After 6 years I finally try a real croissant. Except it's gluten free. I was always told it was impossible to make gluten free croissants, but this place proved it wasn't. So fluffy.

SO happy that Le Marquis is open again in the Old Port. Best gluten free croissants ever!I have tried all the croissants and they are all incredible. Any time I’m in Montreal I try to visit one of their two locations.Ahmed at this location is super helpful and very friendly.

The incredible quality of the products has already been discussed over and over — and I fully concur. The croissants are *amazing.*However, I want to commend the friendly and super accommodating staff.We were visiting from Vermont, and we got stuck at a super slow border crossing. It ended up that we were going to be arriving right at closing time to pick up our pre-paid order. With one phone call, they reassured me they’d be there no problem. When we arrived, the young woman was so kind, discussing the products — not even close to rushing us out.Just such a pleasant experience on top of incredible, incredible gluten free baked goods.

Stumbled upon a gluten free sugar free keto bakery in Old Montreal!? Amazing flaky pastry! Bathroom had no lock or toilet paper (paper towels instead) but still 5 stars for the food and service!
