Disappointing experience. Waited a year and half for the reproduction to be completed. The replica shares no similar traits or patterns to the 15+ DSLR photos provided of the fish I requested to be replicated. Major errors with not including any spots of the wild brown on the adipose and tail fins. The sequence of spots on the body of the replica had air brush splatter throughout the mount and although they say everything is “hand painted” I have shared a photo with review of a portion of replica that has fish scale misalignment and looks to be digital printed or a wrap. For the decades of experience and specialization in brown trout replicas, which was the reason I chose ATW, it’s just frustrating this was the end product. I shared my questions and concerns with the team only but no real cares to help resolve the issues. I’m well aware there’s underlying room for artistic interpretation, but this one missed the mark and I’d expect any veteran who has worked with this species and professional status to have higher expectations of their work.

September 2021 I gave these people a deposit on a replica Lake trout. The estimated completion date was May 2022 (8 months). I contacted them in May and they said that it was coming along nicely but they were experiencing a backlog. I get it…every industry has a backlog…no big deal. I did not hear anything from them by September 2022 (12 months) so I contacted them again. Apparently, my fish was still coming along nicely but they are still experiencing a backlog. I talked with James today (17 months since I gave them a deposit) and he was very frustrated that I was questioning why I did not have my mount. He told me how busy he is and how long he has been in business but did not address my concerns. I got the feeling through my conversation with James that he thought that I should be grateful that he was doing a mount for me. Apparently my deposit went towards materials and a refund would not be possible! I will NEVER deal with these people again.*Update*February 23rd, 2023 I received a call from Laura. She was happy to inform me that Shawn was starting on my mount but wanted to confirm the measurements before he started. I find it interesting that in May 2022 and September 2022 I was informed that my mount was coming along nicely" when it actually had not even been started. As well that James indicated that I was not able to get a refund because my deposit was spent on materials. Raises some ethical questions about this company."

Wow wow wow wow wow. Wonderful work on my owl. I am so pleased. But also an amazing place to visit and see museum quality pieces in the works.

I am very impressed with the level of detail and professionalism in the work on my salmon. It took a bit longer than expected to get my fish, but the wait was worth it. Everyone that has seen the fish is amazed by how real it looks. Thanks for a great job!

They did a very nice job on the two fishers. The pose back to back was unexpected and delightful. I wanted a calm picture not a ready to fight picture. I give it 4 star as it was expensive. The wall mount is wonderful in the fall theme I requested. As its a wall mount I should have asked that the heads face down a bit rather than level. I would say the overall work is outstanding.
