The Dragon
A fun place that is part comic shop, game store, meeting place, gaming space and more. The downtown Guelph location is in a mall that is serviced by public transit and is accessible. There are cards, collectibles, neat gift ideas, the occasional free giveaway and a community of people who are friendly and knowledgeable and approachable - I dare say that there is a community feeling.The retailer can order games and items, and staff are interested in being helpful and available. They will even source an answer for you if they don't have one, themselves.You'll have to check gaming times online - not sure when card games run, and I thought I heard that they have an open gaming time on Sundays, where people can learn and try games.Worth checking out.

Big, clean,Nice storeGreat layout and variety of items.The staff member spent more time sounding knowledgeable about comics but had no idea what they even had in stock. Asked for virgin variants and 30th anniversary of death of superman. Was Told there wasn't any available. I then went over to the selves and found them myself. The comics outside of the store are just independant labels and titles most have never heard of. Not really worth flipping through.I expected more.Also still in full blown covid fear while everyone else has moved on.

Quite a large variety of collections and items to purchase. From comics to action figures, from cards to posters these guys have it.The staff seemed friendly, area was kept tidy. Some collectible stores have messes but this one was fairly organized. Easy to find things that way.The prices for some items are a bit over the top considering you can get the same at another store for cheaper.

This is a great store with very friendly helpful staff. They have a diverse selection of comic books, tabletop games, and supplies, as well as puzzles and collectibles!

This is a wonderfully inclusive store with a variety of LGBTQIA+ dice, pins and more. I have found the community to be queer-friendly and haven't noticed any gatekeeping.

Well organized, immaculately clean, and excellent selection. Worth the drive to Guelph for a visit to The Dragon alone. Found everything I thought to look for, and a few things I didn't know existed.The categories for the graphic novels such as Marvel, D.C., Sci-fi, Horror, and movie/series conversions make it much easier to find things than a purely alphabetical organization.

The Dragon is just about as good a Friendly Local Gaming Store as you could ask for. It's a welcoming environment for everyone, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and they have great stocks of comics, manga, board and role-playing games, miniatures, painting supplies, CCGs, etc. My child's learning to play D&D there right now!I've lived here for over 20 years and it's been around the whole time. It's funny to see a comic book store" being one of the consistent pillars of the downtown business community

Great store - lots of variety for any game or hobby you're into. My boys like to go there for the pokemon cards and d&d miniatures. Employees there are always friendly.

This store is amazing, inside and out, as is the team who works there. I had the immense privilege of being a part of the crew for a short time and I can tell you with all certainty that these lovely humans really care about their customers and have great knowledge about everything they sell, from board games to TCGs to comics and beyond. Jenn, Amy, and the rest of the incredible staff put their heart and soul into making this place feel like a home for their customer base, whether it’s through shopping or the events they run. And to top it all off, they have an amazing selection of products that you can’t really find in other places. I hardcore recommend it to anyone who is looking for games, graphic novels, plushies, cards - anything, really. It’s a great place to shop and is run by some of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.
