If your considering switching from a wood burning fireplace to gas, then I recommend Toronto Comfort Zone as the place to go. The selection of product to choose from is good, and the quoted costs from start to finish fair & reasonable. The installation team was top notch and careful to cover all items that needed to be protected before proceeding, as well as taking all the left over packaging and wrappings with them upon completion. Once installed, they also took the time to show me how to work the unit. The whole process was easy!

Great experience overall with Sonny, Luigi and the rest of the team. The transformation is stunning — removed a wood burning brick fireplace and lots of original brick and replaced with a Valor gas insert and custom wood mantel with marble. The before (brick) and after (marble) photos illustrate the successful project. We recently added a second fireplace on our second floor. Faster turn around this time. Luigi is a master and can handle challenging spaces, difficult installations with ease.

Sonny Raissi did an excellent job helping us to select a gas fire place insert for the renovation project of our 100 year old house. He made sure we understood the code requirements and all of the safety needs of such a project. He paid a visit to our house to inspect our fireplace prior to installation day. His team of installers arrived at precisely the agreed time, were very polite and efficient and completed the job within four hours. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure we knew exactly how to operate the fireplace before they left. A very pleasant and satisfying experience. It was great to work with Sonny and the crew at Toronto Comfort zone. We upgraded an old wood burning fireplace to a gas burning fireplace. Its been a great addition to our home, especially on those cold winter nights.

We had an old insert gas fireplace surrounded by a wall of brick and very large hearth made of bricks. Once we removed all the bricks we were left with an off-centre non-symmetrical firebox hole in our basement wall. We had a vision of what we wanted and were very nervous that we could find someone that could execute it all. We did our research on HomeStars and were impressed with the reviews for Sonny. We called Sonny and setup a visit to our home. From the moment we met Sonny we knew we were in good hands. Sonny is very patient and expertly answered all of our many questions. He is a wonderful professional to work with. We explained what we wanted which was not a very straightforward job and Sonny brainstormed with us on how to achieve it. After a few weeks of discussions via phone and emails (sending pictures back and forth) we settled on a design which included: a new zero clearance fireplace vented through the chimney with an approved adapter, framing around the fireplace creating a new 12 foot insulated wall with symmetrical recessed panels on each side, plus a custom molded cast stone mantel. Sonny spoke to his team to determine the final pricing. The quotes for the jobs were very competitive and we decided to proceed with Sonny and his team to do the work. Sonny co-ordinated with his team and us and everything proceeded smoothly. The gas fireplace installers were efficient, clean and did a great job. The framer was excellent and was able to transform the space into a wonderful new wall area. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions asked and made sure the job was proceeding as we expected. His attention to detail and neatness were very much appreciated. The mantel creator/installer did an amazing job at creating the custom mantel that we asked for. The mantel installation was done perfectly and neatly and put the final touches on a beautiful new fireplace area! We highly recommend Sonny and his team to take care of your fireplace projects. Toronto Comfort Zone just installed a Regency gas fireplace in our living room (Jan 2023). The experiences with Kevin (sales) and Sonny (technical and installation) were both excellent. They did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they'd do it, and answered all questions and made the overall experience seamless. The end result was great and I'd highly recommend them.
