To say that my feet declared war on me when I was very young is an understatement, and hostilities continued until very recently. During my childhood, my foot bills nearly bankrupted my parents. By the time I was 14, one foot was size 13.5, the other was almost 14, a difference large enough to require the purchase of 2 pairs of shoes to get one - or the acceptance of ongoing pain. Both feet are severely pronated and flat; mild Big Toe arthritis" has arrived
