Family was going through town and it’s -40 blew a truck belt and alternator at the ufa in town, called chev and they were useless. Offered no help or solutions. Called another local mechanic and they came to our rescue.

Had nothing but poor experience in several visits, will not return. Don't even keep very basic thing like late model oil-drain plugs in stock. Poor experiences with mechanical service and tire warranty. Avoid.

Been here a few times and going back again soon, service department is very good and very nice staff but it seems to be very busy here and I'm somtimes booking an appointment for a week or 2 away

OMG Smyl Motors in Whitecourt is a life saver!! I was driving through town on my way to Edmonton when the heat in my vehicle quit working and it was hovering around -30 Celsius outside in the late afternoon. An extreme cold temperature warning had just been issued too.I pulled up to the service door and when it opened I pulled straight in. Although my vehicle is not one that is typically serviced by GM dealers, they said have a seat, grab a coffee, and we will see what we can do.As it turns out my blower motor had quit working, they had one in stock and on the concrete floor in the service bay they replaced it.An hour later I was back on the road and made it home in time to have supper with my family. Thank you Chris in service and everyone who made this a priority to get it done and to get me back on the road safely. You have my heartfelt gratitude.Now that is service!!

Can't recommend going to these folks. I brought a vehicle in for a simple warranty issue. Called ahead to ensure that everything was good to go. On the day of the appointment ( after wasting my time/gas driving in) the service guy completely back peddled on everything he had said on the phone when I was setting up the appointment. They were not willing to do the warranty work.I brought the vehicle home and did the job myself. Cost 5.70$ in parts and took me an hour (I am not a mechanic so this job was easy).Throughout this ordeal both the Service guy Ben and the Service Manager had each lied to me a few times. Bottom line is these guys were not interested in doing the warranty work. Service sales numbers are sometimes more important than representing the brand they sell.

Very good service here.I had brought my car in to get a new key fob, it was ordered and arrived in a few days, they installed it and had my car back to me in about an hour!

EXCELLENT FAST SERVICE!! Our truck just quit going down the highway, had it towed home. Would not start, window would not go up! Totally dead! Called Service, talked to Chris who didn't have an appointment opening for a few days, we booked it and then had our truck towed up that day because we were busy day of appointment. Same Day Service department ended up with a 1 to 1 1/2 hr opening before closing so Chris decided to have Service take a look at it and they found the problem in Record Time and fixed it!! Got a call 1st thing the next morning telling us truck was ready to go!! VERY IMPRESSED!! Thank You Chris and Service Tech.!!

Service was excellent. The problem with my car was diagnosed and repaired immediately. Very friendly service people specially the service managers like Chris , Adam. Thank you and I’m so happy ! I would definitely come back and highly recommend!

Great dealership. Had an amazing experience with the service manager mr. Chad Stieb. Not only did he provide exceptional service but he’s probably one of the best looking service people in Canada. Will definitely be back to see his smile.
