Apple Self Storage - Thunder Bay

Tried to book online and chose the best option for me. The payment didn't work online so I had to call about 10 mins to close. They tried to make me wait until the next business day. I got my unit booked and as I was arriving that night I was given a code and told to bring a padlock.When we arrived, the unit was not a roll top door that needed a padlock, it was a normal swing door that required a key. After a phone call and an hour long wait, we were told 'there was no mistake this is your unit' and we were given a key.We began unloading but realized that the swing door occupied about 1/6 of the space of the room and we wouldn't be able to fit everything because of it. We spoke to the gentlemen and we're told we booked this unit online so it is not their problem. We booked a second unit to accommodate our things because we were just exhausted. We were charged full price, not even a small discount for the trouble.I asked why we got a swing door when it wasn't advertised that way online, they said that's what I chose. I looked online again and realized their roll top, heated or alarmed units weren't even listed online. I chose the size I needed and didn't know there were any other options available.It's time to renew our surprise second unit as we only paid for a month. No discount.They have an after hours number and were willing to come help us during a snow storm. It was too bad they don't want to take responsibility for their errors because they seemed like they wanted to do a good job - but their lack of understanding of what they put us through and willingness to 'make it right' made it the worst experience of our move.

We've been happy with the storage unit so far. Units are tall so you can fit quite a bit in there. The only issue I could see happening is they had changed the entrance code in one of the bays without notification. I was dropping things off for the unit, luckily someone was at the front desk. If there wasn't, I would have driven to town for nothing (live in the country). Overall, great experience

Very friendly staff, clean units and great location! They even held the unit i was on a waitlist for for me until i could get there the next week to set everything up!

This is one of the best storage units by far. It’s super clean, Kristen is awesome to deal with. They equip with the facilities with a drive in ramp (which is awesome for rainy days) and also have carts to push all your belongings to and from the unit. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a clean, safe unit.

Fast and friendly service, the building and units are very clean and nice. Building is secure and has a garage door so customers are able to drive inside and load/unload their belongings. Pricing is very reasonable and I was able to secure my unit within the hour. Definitely recommend APPLE if you’re looking for a place to store your items.

I was very satisfied and grateful for the patient and thorough process of renting a storage unit through Haileigh (hope I spelled it correctly) on May 13 (invoice 110?6 for unit 163?), including my numerous questions about web rate offers, size or area differences, and general experiences about or at the location. Has been fairly easy to access rented unit and the site is very convenient location. Not sure how often self-storage may be necessary after this current period, but would definitely rent again with Apple Self-Storage. First time renting a storage unit so I have no other experience for comparison yet no doubts so far with choosing Apple.

Super clean, secure, easily accessible, temperature controlled, friendlyand knowledgeable staff, good price for space as will. 10/10 recommend.

Have been searching for a storage unit and was quite impressed with the staff and the premises at Apple Self Storage at the Redwood Plaza location. Units were clean and well maintained. Spoke to Kristen who was very courteous and professional and answered all our questions as we toured the property and viewed the various sizes available. I think we've found our go-to storage facility.

Been with Apple Self Storage for over a year. Always friendly and go above other customer service reps. Storage is clean and easily accessible. Keep up the great work!!
