The barber knew what I wanted when I explained to him what I was trying to do. He made it look awesome! He was also very helpful and explained what products to use and how to comb my hair exactly so I can achieve the same look at home.

Super friendly staff and great service. Highly recommend Yad! My 9 year old son has 4 or 5 cowlicks it was so difficult finding someone who knows how to cut his hair well. Yad does an amazing job every time, his kind demeanour is also a plus!

I wish we could give it a zero star.We took our son there for a haircut for his graduation after being highly recommended to go there. We asked them to just clean up his hair and don’t make it too short. They completely changed his hairstyle. They gave him a fade haircut that looked awful. He had a red mark that turned scabby from the clippers at the back of his head. My son had to keep telling him one sport needed to be fixed and he kept ignoring him. The hair cut was very choppy. My son only has scissors used on his hair and this barber decided to use clippers.He hated the haircut so much he didn’t want to go to grad but then agreed to go if he could wear a hat. We had to go buy him a hat since he’s not usually a hat guy. I don’t blame him for being upset, I was upset with the haircut as well. His hat ended up coming off at grad and I had parents at grad mentioning how bad his haircut was.The manager offered 2 free hair cuts but we won’t be returning. He thought my son was going to be okay with receiving 2 free hair cuts but he most definitely was not okay with that. My son told the manager he would think about it. Right after we left my son let out his anger and I knew he would react like that and tell me he never wants to return there again.

It's always a pleasure to return to a barber shop where the service is always excellent and when you leave it feels that you have been given a boost in life. Moe makes my visit something I look forward to and never disappoints and they have the best coffee ever. I watch the cuts of other customers and know that the staff are all very talented in their craft. Thanks Moe for another exceptional experience!

Gave Ashby Grove a chance and I was not disappointed! They set me up with Hamid and he absolutely killed it!I explained what type of haircut I was going for, and was very thorough in asking questions about every detail so we were on the exact same page. He was also very informative about styling methods and products.The environment was very up beat and comfortable. 10/10 will be going back

Sorry guys. Maybe it was a bad experience for me and the barber i had. You charge more than downtown Toronto barbers yet my beard was not lined up and my fade seemed rough in certain areas. The hot towel service was great. I can't give 5 stars though which i usually do for barbershops. Good luck but won't be coming back.

Went their today for a cut early am walking cut, the receptionist was super nice and fun to talk to then, My new stylist DJ here at ashby grove, cleaned me up perfectly. took so much time and care into his work, awesome attitude and awesome work done, left feeling like a million bucks. Thanks again guys see ya next time for sure!

Had a great experience. Called ahead and made a same day appointment, arrived and started on time. Mo did a great job on my hair, and checked in throughout to make sure it was what I wanted. I’ve had some negative experiences at other shops in Oshawa but would definitely go back to Mo!

I went to a barbershop for a much needed haircut, and I have to say, it was the worst experience of my life. I was in desperate need of a fresh look, and I had high hopes for this salon, but those hopes were quickly shattered. From the moment I sat in the stylist's chair, I knew things were not going to go well. The barber seemed to be illiterate in both general communication and barber terminology. He lacked any sense of professionalism and barely listened to my requests, and before I knew it, he started hacking my noggin with his clippers. What was supposed to simple taper fade ended up being a complete disaster. My hair was uneven, choppy, completely botching my cranium. I was beyond disappointed and devastated. I have never left any situation with fatter tears than the ones that came out of my eyes that day. I fell into a deep sadness that was paired with a heightened state of self-consciousness and felt like an embarrassment to my family as I payed for this atrocity. I would not recommend this barbershop to anyone, and I will never return. The barber clearly lacked the skills and experience necessary to provide a quality haircut, and their lack of care for their clients was evident. I had to spend a small fortune to have my hair fixed by another stylist, and even then, it took several months for my hair to fully recover. If you're in need of a haircut, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Trust me, you do not want to experience the same nightmare that I did at this barbershop.
