Avis Car Rental

Came to the with a valid reservation. Ramesh told us there are no cars available and we should wait for 2 hours. Then when I asked him about the uber fees he told us the customer service if we are not happy with the service.

Rented a sedan from this location for 2 weeks. Surprising the VW Jetta given wasn't of the basic trim, yet it's full of dents and scratches on the body and the arm rest compartment was filthy. Very good rates with promo codes. Nevertheless the experience was average, e.g. below par customer service, left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing, e.g. I completed all the necessary steps online just prior to pick up in order to streamline the pick up process, and guess what, the customer rep re-did the steps again on site. Other Avis locations are not like that, especially the airports. Secondly, no shuttle service to send you home when you return the rental (The Enterprise location at Keele and Langstaff does provide shuttle service). I wanted to give 3.5 stars aligning with the average, but it's not available.

Ramesh is rude and dismissive. Worst customer service I have experienced at a car rental. Reserved a standard car and got a compact, not only that, the car I got was super old with 65K mileage on it. The engine light came on halfway through. Avoid this location.

I've rented from Avis in multiple countries with and without reservations. Apparently this place is so overbooked they don't take reservations, it's first come first served. They tell you to come in the day of and they might have something or they might not...Second time visiting this location; first time wasn't an issue. This time it was absurd.

Staff LIED to us about charges. What they tell you the price is IS NOT the price. The customer service rep said additional charges were local taxes" but actually they were charges to upgrade the vehicle because our reservation wasnt available. Car had low tires

Very attentive service. They go out of their way to be helpful. At first glance doesn’t seem to be the fanciest place. However, one of the best car rental agencies we’ve dealt with.

Extremely poor customer service and knowledge. Gentleman who picked up the phone doesn't even know whether a contract can be extended through customer service. Please train your staff with adequate knowledge for the job.

The people working here are crooks. I went to return the car and they charged me for 130$ for half a tank of gas while I was trying to decide how far away the closest station was (it was 3 doors away). Then they said we closed you out we can’t give you back the car. I asked them how far away the station was and they didn’t answer so I was checking my phone. I called Avis and complained and they charged me a reasonable amount for the fuel instead. Complete crooks here

Awful, Do not book online!!! I reserved a car a week in advance and the plans fell through. I tried to cancel less than 10 hours later and they still charged me a $50 cancellation fee. I would've understand if they held a car for me and I cancelled last minute, but they said they had to still charge me. I called the Richmond Hill location, who put me through to the call centre who said they couldn't help me.Will never book or rent from Avis ever again. Just horrible customer service.

The best place to rent cars in town. I'm a regular, the owners are great, great service, great vehicle selection. I highly recommend this place. I've tried many rental places, but this place hands down is the best!
