Cool vibes! They know coffee, although my expresso was a lot bitter than I anticipated. Friendly staff, and I will definitely come back to try other coffee drinks.

Definitely one of the best coffee shops in Vancouver! High quality coffee beans with distinctive taste. The staffs are knowledgeable and super friendly. Their waffles are freshly made which I was quite surprised when I got the one that’s still warm!

This is by far the best place in Vancouver if you are looking for a local roaster. They have four different type of beans as espresso. The beans change often thus it's worth while to go twice. They draw coffees quite long 40-60s but with low pressure profile 4bar to keep the excellent fruitiness of their beans. A must !!! for any coffee lover.

I tried one Mexican pour over it taste amazing, Mocha is good as well, very modern design. Location wise is not really convenient. But good product

We indulged in two of their most popular ones, chosen by the friendly barista, and they did not disappoint.Despite the cafe's location being a bit too far to walk to from home, the quality of the coffee and the overall experience makes it a destination worth going out of your way for. If you're a coffee lover in Vancouver or just passing through, Prototype Coffee offers an unmatched coffee experience that you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. We specifically came to this coffee shop just for their pour overs. We ordered 4 pour overs and we were WIRED! There is lots of street parking. The shop is kind of hidden in the corner and it took us a while to find it. They had the famous Aillio Bullet R1 coffee roasters going hard. There was a decent amount of seating inside. We came in super early so there was not too many people. The coffee was really good. When the coffee was brought to our table we got a little explanation of each coffee. Probably the best place in Vancouver in terms of pour overs. We haven't tried them all but so far this spot is the best. The value of the pour overs were great and we really enjoyed them all. It was a very good experience and great way to try out a variety of their coffees. The owner brewed our coffees and was super friendly. We enjoyed the coffee so much we took a few pounds home with us. Highly recommend this place if you are wanting to try some excellent coffee roasted in house.My favourite was the Ethiopia Worka (Natural)
