We always loved going to the Lake Country location and are so happy with the Vernon location.We chose The Italian Kitchen to celebrate our 20th Anniversary.The restaurant is cozy, the service great and the food was excellent.We enjoyed the complimentary warm breadsticks and the bruschetta was amazing.They were very helpful with meeting my husband's food intolerances and the gluten free pasta was delicious.You won't go wrong choosing the Creme Brule!Highly recommend this restaurant.Dianne Freeman

Pastas are always great here. Very flavourful meals with a variety of options. Italian soda is also pretty good. Desserts are FANTASTIC. Definitely worth the price. It is a little too dark inside for my liking but the atmosphere is nice otherwise. Service is usually great.

The gnocchi I had ordered was burnt. Literally black on more than 1/3 of the dish. Service was a long wait unfortunately it is my second unsatisfying experience here. Last time I came here, the meatballs were almost cold and tasted of shellfish in the spaghetti and meatballs, very off putting. Unfortunately I will not be back. Overpriced for the “quality control”. I had good experiences here over the last few years. Disappointing.

Tasty!Was craving some good pasta and was not at all disappointed by the flavours and how well cooked everything was. I had the Tomato Bianco (prawns, scallops and rosemary in a tomato cream sauce) and my boyfriend got the Salisiccia (spicy Italian sausage with mushrooms and onions in a rich tomato sauce), both with linguine. I devoured mine, it was so good. I would have liked the portion to be little larger, but the flavours were all amazing. Boyfriend stated his sausage could have been spicier, but still enjoyed it thoroughly.We decided on the New York Cheesecake and the Creme Brulee for desserts. The cheesecake was decadently rich, but I was very disappointed that the creme brulee was served cold (as per their norm, I checked), and not nearly as sweet as I have had elsewhere.Otherwise, the staff were friendly, the atmosphere and decor was nice, although the lighting was a bit dark.Definitely recommended.

Great food, usually go when it's quiet so I never have to wait long. Wheel chair accessible so that I can bring my family as well. Could use better decor and lighting, but I go for the food so it's not a big deal. I love the comfy chairs close to the front of the restaraunt and the open concept kitchen.

Extremely unsatisfied with the change in recipes. My husband and I used to love Italian kitchen but they seem to keep changing the recipes and its now grosser than ever. I'd rather eat kraft dinner than order from here and get this meal again.. had 6 empty shells in my seafood pasta... the sauce is NOT rose, it's literally tomato sauce. Its supposed to be linguini noodles and theyre fat asian like noodles... not awesome. Garlic toast also keeps changing styles and this one was far to over cooked to enjoy. Not excited to spend over $100 on dinner tonight. Every meal was disgusting and this used to literally be the BEST food in vernon. Left my number with a staff member and expect a manager to call..

Everything was so delicious, saucy and flavorful. The service is just the best. It was my first time eating pork so the cook gave me a free peice of bacon!I hope everyone gets the experience of eating here.

I really wanted to enjoy this place, I made a reservation for our anniversary and was so let down.I was very excited when we walked in and I saw the exposed kitchen but that quickly ruined my night.The chefs were eating in the kitchen(with their hands) while making food and prepping plates.The one chef was wearing a baggy sweat suit, hair a mess and constantly wiping her nose on her sleeve. She also rotated from kitchen, to the bar to make herself a drink, to being a waitress, to sitting at the bar scrolling through her phone then back into the kitchen.It was all very unprofessional and seemed very unsanitary.Our food was very bland and not at all what I expected. The meatballs were cold on the inside.Overall I was very let down with the place. Maybe my expectations were too high.But I won’t be back and definitely won’t be recommending the Italian Kitchen to anyone.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Food was amazing and the service was great. The girls were so nice and friendly. I would highly recommend everyone in the area or visiting to go to this place. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!.
