Great place. No need to setup tents. There is a shared fire pit in the common area. Private Beach.

it is far from Burnaby, when you are stuck in a traffic congestion, but this place has so much to offer. A near by lake makes a cool back yard swimming pool. awesome place to BBQ on a hot summer nights!

Maple Bay Cabins
Nice and clean. No need to bring mattress, just bring sheets and pillows. Heated cabin and good insulation, can't hear outside noise. All 25 cabins altogether have its personal beach area to use. Bathrooms and showers were decent. Overall good experience.

Maple Bay Cabins
These cabins are so nice and affordable. No cooking stuff in the cabin nor washroom or shower but I would keep going back. Looks like a tiny little village with a lake viewThey rent propane fire pit so convenient

Maple Bay Cabins
The cabins are fantastic for the rainy camping days and for those without the glamping" equipment. The cabins are comfortable for a family of 5

A quiet, inexpensive and well maintained BC parks facility.Ease of booking:You can plan ahead and easily reserve up to 4 months in advance, but quite a challenge to get immediate reservations during this time of the year. However, I was lucky to find one for this weekend.Value for money:It was a steal deal - heated cabin at a nominal price with access to hot showers and a private beach far from the crowds. Amazing view, clean room, comfortable stay and convenient location.Campfires:Allowed, Firewood is available in gas stations on the way to the park. There’s one huge shared firepit, it wasn’t being used by other residents so we had it for ourselves. As an alternative, propane based fire pits can be used in the seating area provided outside every cabin.Accessibility:Hassle-free. Google maps navigates you to the correct location. Lot of stores/restaurants in close proximity.Parking: 1 vehicle allowed per cabin.Hot showers: Yes.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Maple Bay Cabins and found the natural beauty of the area and the clean and well-maintained cabins to be a highlight of my trip. The cabins are easily accessible, while bathroom facilities and parking areas are in good condition. The serene environment and beautiful surroundings make Maple Bay Cabins an excellent choice for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.Despite the overall enjoyable experience, there were some issues that marred my stay at Maple Bay Cabins and lessened its quality. Despite the beautiful view of the lake, a large area around it had become practically unusable due to the excessive amount of geese droppings. It was challenging to walk around without stepping on the mess, and I noticed that the surrounding area had not been cleaned during my stay. In contrast to other lakes such as Buntzen Lake, where the staff regularly cleans the beach and keeps the area usable, the staff here made no effort to clean up the mess during the several days I stayed, making the situation worse day by day. Moreover, the fire pit's location near the bathroom facilities detracted from the overall experience. The close proximity of the fire pit to the bathroom, coupled with the unpleasant odour emanating from it, is truly bothersome. The foul smell emitted from the bathroom ventilation system renders sitting by the fire pit and relishing its warmth and the surrounding view uncomfortable. Moving the fire pit to a more suitable location would be a better solution. The location provides easy access to several local tourist attractions, making it an ideal destination for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in a natural setting. Regarding pricing, rates for the cabins start from $96 per night, depending on the season and number of guests.Despite these unpleasant issues, I still enjoyed my stay at Maple Bay Cabins and would recommend them to anyone seeking a peaceful and relaxing vacation in a beautiful natural setting. I hope that the management team takes note of the feedback provided and works towards improving these minor issues to enhance the overall experience for future visitors.
