Memory Express Computers Vancouver

Recently I bought a new motherboard from Memory Express and it came with bent CPU pins. When I brought it back they said that it had been inspected before shipping and that I must have damaged it. They wouldn't repair or replace it and only offered me a discount on a new item. I asked for proof of inspection because they mentioned they take photos and they didn't have any. So either the inspection was sloppy or somebody was lying here.Finally, it turns out the motherboard was repairable because I did it myself later on. It would have been nice if they had tried to repair it as a courtesy, but seems like they just wanted to take advantage and upsell instead.Edit: In response to the owner, the person I talked to said the board was dead and *nothing* could be done. The employee implied sending to the manufacturer would take months and probably wouldn't work. Really all it needed was a 5 minute repair. Even if you cant do the repair in store it was very misleading to suggest my only other choice was to pay another few hundred dollars for a mistake that wasn't mine.

- Great pc accessories and a go to place when building a pc or just to buy individual components.- they have key switch tray to try feel of different switches if you're out for keyboard hunt.- good return policy within a week I think.- warranty might be overkill in most cases but it's up to you since there's store markup.

I recently got my computer repaired at this location. Overall it went well. One thing I was hoping for was the diagnostic cost to be deducted from the video card installation repair cost but that never happened.Also on the last day, the rep ended up frustrating me by him saying 'sorry' for every thing that I ask which he thought was a nuisance.Definitely feeling lukewarm over the experience. Not bad but could definitely be better.Edit: I assumed there would only be the video card cost and the diagnostic cost itself and that the diagnostic cost would minus off actual video card costs. But upon calling and clarifying with the memory express lead tech support there was a labor costs along with the actual video card costs and diagnostic fee.Long story short, the diagnostic cost was minus off the labor costs this time. Which the diagnostic cost was still charged and the video card itself was charged.I will bump this review from a 3 star to 4 star to reflect the changes.

Awesome service, excellent prices. Go inexpensive or balls to the wall top end. They have it all and know their stuff.Super fast repair service with clear pricing.Can't recommend Memory Express enough.

Only had a couple interactions at this location but so far everything has been great. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who are eager to help you complete your purchases. Highly recommend if you need anything to construct your dream PC.

Good parts selection, good customer service, and I have only needed to return one thing (my error, not theirs) and they where great during that as well.

These are the most professional and skilled people I've worked with! I couldn't be happier with their stock and their service on my PC.I brought in my PC for several upgrades and brought very specific instructions (fan orientation, RGB-management, CPU cooler installation and more) and they met all of them with literally flying colors.If you're like me, you're either too busy and/or too nervous to tinker around your PC yourself - I couldn't be happier with how fast and efficient the builder was. I've been going to memory express for a long time. The Richmond location was my go-to for a while because it was larger and parking was much easier but since their closing I've been going to this Vancouver location much closer to my place. If you go here often enough you'll start to get to know the employees because they aren't the minimum wage high school kids and recent grads that are taking a year or more break before going to uni that best buy loves to hire. These guys are proper geeks, which I say with 100% love. Also, they have really good sales outside of the usual yearly cycle like black Friday and cyber Monday so it might be worth it subscribing to their email notifications for that. Recently bought an ultra wide from these guys ($180 off) to give as a gift. The employees help pack it into your car for you if you're parked in the back as well. So all in all I have nothing but good things to say about this store.

Ordered the wrong part twice and wasted an entire month of my time. They said the seller was the issue, but when I looked into it they had actually ordered a part that didn’t even advertise itself as compatible with my laptop. 2 stars because at least they didn’t charge me for wasting a month of time.
