Londonderry Fitness and Leisure Centre
I’ve been going to this gym for years, it’s usually good, until today when I saw a Mother’s Day sign in the locker room. I feel that is just completely unnecessary and disregarding anyone who goes in there that has lost their mom or doesn’t have a mom. It should be a place where I go to feel better and don’t have to see those kind of advertisements. It’s just an unnecessary place to have something like that. So I left feeling even worse than when I went in.

I have only used the pool and it was a good place for a family swim steam room and the sauna was packed.

I love going swimming and joining in on the aqua fit classes at Londonderry Pool. The environment is always very clean and the staff are friendly and great at their jobs!

Please turn on sauna. It’s 45’C inside. What is the sense to have the sauna in your facility without warm and heat dry?I talked with staff and they said that city of Edmonton has some non smart regulation forbidding temperature over 47’C.That’s ridiculous! Consider experience of Finland for temperature. I believe Finish people understand something in steam rooms and have long history and under-stance why it should be hot inside.

Edit for extra star. The staff have been getting somewhat more friendly so I appreciate that, but they still have a long way to go.I really do appreciate the cleaning worker though. He is BY FAR the best worker in all the rec centres I go to. I’ve never once seen others dust or wipe glass and I see him doing it constantly. If there is a way to promote him I really hope the city will, I really like him his rec centre is SO CLEAN.

Londonderry Fitness and Leisure Centre
We have a city wide membership and usually go to another rec center for swimming, but that day it was full and the line was long so we took a shot and tried this pool... And I'm so glad we did! It has amazingly fast fun waterslides (2 of them) and the pool is clean and was not busy for a Sunday. Lots of pool toys and the hot tub was perfect. They also have a sauna and steam room. Only downside is very chemical chlorine compared to the half salt water pools other rec centers have, but still we will be back for more waterslide fun!

Londonderry Fitness and Leisure Centre
I love the pool here. The gym gets very busy often times but the layout is great. I've been using Londonderry rec center since I was 14 years old. I highly recommend coming to swim and workout here. For both individuals and families. I wish there was more parking !
