My Samsung dryer broke down about a month ago. It has no warranty but I decided to call the company recommend by the manufacturer. It was easy to get a hold of them and schedule the service call in 2 days. The technician moved his schedule around that morning to accommodate my preferred time. Very nice guy, said that the heater is blown. Charged me $120 for coming out. To repair $420 + tax. I found it way to expansive so I said I'll think about (should I buy used one, new one or just repair the one I have). The next day I needed to do a load in washer but got flooded from the drain pipe that fell out when the tehnician pulled out the stacked W/D. The tehnician came back in as soon as I got a hold of him (couple hours) to get W/D out so we can see is there any water under. Fortunately, there wasn't any. But, there was a small water damage on the floor in front of the machine. Tehnician asked me do I want them to repair it. I said no, and then he offered a discount of $70. I asked if he could do better. He said he will ask his boss. That was over 2 weeks ago. Never heard back. I send an email, no reply. I left a voicemail, no call back.Disappointed!UPDATE:I was contacted by Richard from the head office the very next day after posting my review. He apologized for the inconvenience even though it wasn't his mistake and offered me a generous discount. I got a tehnician Mike to come out and fix my dryer at my earliest convince.From a disappointed to a very happy customer!Thank you Richard!Thank you Mike!Thank you Totem Appliance Service!

I hate giving bad reviews but......I had a service call a while back from Totem for a broken dishwasher .Service guy was good. Diagnosed problem, a broken motherboard. Unplugged dishwasher (to avoid further damage) made notes for our account . Told us when we decide to fix it, just call and Totem will get it done.Fast forward a few months. I call to get it fixed. Person answering pulls up our account, tells us we need another $115 service call again?!? She has the notes to the account right in front of her...same thing, broken mother board. Then she tells me I was charged $99 and said that wasn't even the right amount, so we would have to start all over from scratch.What's the point of even keeping customer records if they can't even be used for what they're supposed to be used for?Very disappointing. Poor, cold customer service. Stay away.

Prompt, efficient, and professional service. My built in microwave/exhaust hood died suddenly (warranty was long ended). I arranged for an appointment and they arrived exactly as scheduled. The technician (Kyle) came and had it working again in minutes with a replacement fuse. He also explained the problem and gave some advice on common problems I might encounter in the future and which issues are worth fixing and which aren't. Highly recommended. I can't understand how others had negative experiences.

First review I have ever done, but had to do it. I don't want anyone to waste their time and money. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! Never purchase or have anything serviced by these people. Was charged $425 for a new machine that was still under warranty. The service man came to my house 5 times for a brand new machine and still never fixed it. Total nightmare, never knew what he was doing and said serial times I never worked on these machines" and had to call Frigidaire to walk him through trying to fix it. I could have done that. You would think that if your tech can't fixed a brand new machine you shouldn't send him out on service calls. I called the Totem customer service line serval times asking for another service guy because the one they were sending couldn't fix my machine.They said he was the 'only' person that comes to my area. I called Frigidaire myself and they said all parts covered for 2 years. The Totem service man lied to me and said that they called Frigidaire and they didn't cover the parts

M Dawson came to our home today to look at our fridge that wasn't working. He was very personable and professional and was able to fix it for us. We feared we were going to have to replace our six year old very expensive fridge and we were not looking forward to that. Thanks to Mr Dawson our fridge is working like new. It was a pleasure to meet and deal with Mr Dawson and we will call Totem again should we need any appliance repairs. Totem should be happy to have such a fine employee. Thank you again.

I was concerned after reading some of the reviews but our experience was positive! I called the day before the date scheduled for a dishwasher repair and they told me they would call between 8:00am and 9:30 and they did. I was given the option of morning or afternoon and a one-hour window and the repairman (Justin) arrived during that time. The work was carried out professionally, he rang my son (the owner) to tell him what needed to be done and the repair was completed in an hour.

Very unprofessional company. The technician Danny couldn’t take his shoes off said he was in a rush. Unbelievable poor service save yourself the money and get a reputable company and overcharging for no reason.

Mike Dawson has been out to our place twice for different appliance warrantyissues. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I was very impressed with his service both times. If any other appliances needs any fixing, I will defiantly be calling Trail Appliance and request Mike. He is definitely an asset to your company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY1) Samsung sends ticket to Totem for service request2) 4 days after the ticket was sent, I call Totem to get an update, as they were supposed to call within 24 - 48 hours3) The Customer Service Rep, I believe Ashleigh was her name, advises me that they call within 24 hours and that hey haven't received the ticket (though I received a duplicate copy from Samsung confirming it). She basically spoke to me as if I was lying.4) Finally, after much back and forth, she says she finds the ticket in their system5) I ask to go ahead and book a time for a service technician, but she refuses, and says I have to wait until my ticket comes up6) Later that afternoon I get a call to book the appointment7) They advise me that they don't book times, just the specific day, and that the service tech will phone me on the scheduled day with a 2 hr service window8) They also advise me they don't do evenings so the appointment will be during the day9) On the day the service rep calls (YAY, success) and tells me he'll be at my place between 5 - 710) I tell the service tech I took the full day off work, as Totem advised me they don't do evenings11) Service Tech apologizes and says he doesn't have any other times available12) We re-book another appointment in 5 days, with me having to take MORE time off workSo they don't call, poor customer service, inflexible service times, unaccommodating, and provide false information.I'll be copying this e-mail to Samsung so they can re-think who they contract out to.
