Motel 6 Windsor, ON

I got a room for me and my partner to stay for 2 days, on the first day the guy at the front desk complained about us having our guest come over for less then an hour and asked me to pay $15 per guest for my guest to visit us, second day in a light bulb blows the guy got upset with us cause it blowed and demanded right away that I would not get my $100 deposit back. This is a very shady motel 6 I haven’t had an experience like this in any other location. After I was told that my deposit wasn’t getting reimbursed he called me to the office and told me that I am forced to check out before my second night because he wants to give the room to other customers cause of an blown light bulb which made me have to drive back to Toronto from windsor because every other hotel was booked out which unfortunately shortened my visit too windsor. This was the worst motel 6 experience ever it seems that they make the rules as the go. I also spoke to some of the locals and ask about motel 6 and they didn’t have anything good to say about they’re serviceTerrible motel

We have stayed at a few Motel 6 the past years but this one has got to be the dirtiest one we ever stayed at! There were hairs all over the bathroom floor, dirt behind the bathroom door (lots of it! it was very noticeable), the towels are thread-bare and one of them had a red stain, I pulled back the sheets and there were 2 long dark hairs! Dust on top of the TV and lamps, pulled open the curtains and almost choked from the dust! The reception area was so smelly we could hardly breathe! I would not recommend nor ever go back. (Judging from their reply below, they do not care about customers!)

When we walked into the room we were hit with a sudden smell of cigarettes, there were stains in the tub which were very visible, the beds had hair in some places. We went to the front desk to tell them, and they did change our room, when we walked in to the new room there still a hint of cigarette smell on the bed sheets and such. The tub was also stained and not cleaned properly.

The man that was working when we checked in and checked out was total @#$& customer service skills totally out the window. If I went back and he was working I would leave. If he is the owner I would never stay there again.

Room was fantastic, very clean and recently renovated. Staff was not friendly or accommodating. We had 4 guests and they fought tooth and nail not to give us extra towels and face cloths. They said the standard is 2 sets per room even though we paid for 4 guests.

I have been to the other side of the world to third world countries that didn't have elaborate rooms but they were clean. I have never seen anything more disgusting in my life. I asked for another room and was told there weren't any available. Then the owner's wife called the room to ask me about what was going on. When I went to pick up the phone, the handset was stuck to the base. I told her about the phone and all the things in the room that were absolutely unacceptable and she came up to the room. She took me to another room which wasn't much better. The very first thing that I did was pick up the phone and it was stuck as well. I said I'll just stay in the room that I already had. We went back to the room and she was very nice. Explained about not having good help and that they had just bought the place and are trying to get things in order. Her and I'm assuming her son who was working the front desk when I checked in, brought a lot of Mr. Clean and cleaned up most of the things that I complained about. There was still more blood spatter behind me but I didn't realize until after they had already left. I hope they clean that afterwards. They changed the bedding on one of the beds as that's all I needed for sleeping. As nice as she was, I cannot recommend staying at this place based on my experience. I stayed there in the beginning of March and have been contemplating doing this review. I don't like to hurt anybody's business but at the same time I wish I knew just how awful this was going to be for me. I hope they find proper cleaning staff and get the rooms into some kind of decent repair and cleanliness.The location to some may be great because it's a busy area but it was so noisy it was hard to sleep. On a good note, the air conditioning unit was incredible! It was so nice and quiet and kept the room warm as I slept on top of the covers knowing what the mattress was like.Might I add that the long hair in the mattress and tub. We're not mine. I didn't even shower in the morning. I just wanted to get out of there.

We stayed here one night! It was so clean and warm. And very quiet surprisingly right by highway 3. I enjoy my stay! I will be back again :)

Room was clean, property was very quiet even with a busy weekend and many rooms filled. Staff was very helpful nd nice!.Would stay here again.

The hotel and staff is wonderful!My husband and I had a family emergency and had to leave a day early. The manager worked with our booking agent and refunded a night. The staff was friendly.The room was clean, and the bed!! Most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in.Thank you for making and enjoyable stay and being so understanding with our cutting the stay short.

As soon as I stepped into the room there was an odd smell. I did a walk around and noticed human hair as if the room was was not cleaned. Yellow bodily fluids on the pillow cases and pillows, white stains, and to top it all off black mould on the sheets was discovered. When I brought this information and pictures to the front desk they told me to get a refund and leave as they would not do anything further to compensate. They refused to get or call a manager. Would not recommend staying here ever, unsafe place, not cleaned, and useless staff.
