We caught so many fish we kept losing count !! Our first experience Ice fishing and we learned a lot from Lubos. He was so patient with us and answered our 1000 questions. We got to try different hooks, bait and equipment .

Great day of fishing with Lubos; he was very knowledgable, talented, respectful/careful with the fish, and more than happy to share his awesome fishing set up with us. Lubos graciously accommodated my preschooler as well as our dog- both had so much fun!

I’ve been ice fishing 7 or 8 different times over the last 10 years or so, and all of those days combined weren’t half as good as the one day my wife and I spent with Lubo. I had a blast, and I’m pretty sure she liked it even more than I did. Ha.Here are a few things that I noticed set it apart:- the gear, Lubo has everything, 16 lines in the water, 5 different rod types, 10 different baits, fire pit, BBQ, extra boot spikes, extra drinks, etc., etc.- knowledge, he’s been doing it for so long, he has all his hot spots marked on his GPS, and absolutely loves to share what he knows about all of the intricate details of catching fish under 2” of ice.- attitude - Lubo has to be one of the most positive and accommodating people I have ever had the pleasure to spend the day with. He clearly loves what he does and it shows.At first I went back and fourth about whether the cost of paying for a guide was worth it, but now looking back, it seems cheap. We probably used $5000 worth of Lubo’s gear that day and caught 8 monster Pike. I’ve never had a day of fishing like that in my life, winter or summer. There’s just no way that most of us can invest the time, money, and dedication into the sport, to make it as seemingly easy and enjoyable as Lubo makes it seem. For me, paying a few hundred dollars to have access to years of Lubo’s time and education for the day was worth every penny.Thanks a million Lubo, we can’t wait to do it again!

This was such a fun experience. We started our full day tour at 8am and started with a safety meeting and then were given crampons to wear and ice picks for safety. We headed to the car to drive to the spot which was already set up. The tent was warm inside and had comfortable seats. Lubos is a super knowledgeable guide and I really appreciated his patience in teaching me how to ice fish. He also let us help drill holes which was fun! We pulled in plenty massive pike. I'd highly recommend this to add to your winter activities or bucketlist.

Our family of 4 kids went fishing for a day and we had the best time ever! We felt so welcomed and the owner took so much time to teach us tips and tricks! It was my first time and I wouldn’t change this experience one bit! We didn’t want to leave even when it got dark out and I can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend giving it a try! My son and I had a fantastic day of ice fishing recently with Ice Fishing Calgary. We arrived at the lake pretty early to find Lubos had arrived even earlier. A shelter, complete with chairs and heater was erected, holes were drilled and all equipment set up. We were fishing within minutes of arriving and soon pulling in our first of many fish, including one 9 LB pike. Equipment included sonar and visual devices, different types of fishing rigs, lures and bait. Lubos is very knowledgeable and eager to pass on tips and advice. My friend and I recently went ice fishing with Lubos and had the most amazing time! We caught over ten fish in only half a Day, to the point where multiple lines had fish on them at the same time!
