Wait... why is it called Landyachtz Bikes now? It used to be called the “Landyachtz Factory Store”. I hope Landyachtz keeps its focus on longboard and cruiser boards... The shop is very interesting and has a huge complete selection of skateboards, along with a vert, arcade and pinball machines. The place is chillax, people are chillax. I hope they allow customer to test the board outside, instead of just inside the shop, I wouldn’t mind leaving a credit card or driver’s license on hold if they let me.

Not having popped my titanium cherry before, I was clueless and merely wanted a custom titanium gravel bike. What they built me was the equivalent of a Lamborghini Urus on two wheels. Seriously, this thing is fast and rides & handles beyond my wildest expectation!!! The whole process from start to finish was seamless, easy, and pressure-free! Blake, Adrian & the team flawlessly executed the entire process from start to finish, and what came out was PERFECTION.

There's nothing better as a bicycle rider / mechanic than getting to spend 10-15 minutes talking to the mechanic(s) at my local bike shop. Why is that so difficult here? They can share news about products I've never heard about before. Have suggestions to fix problems with my bicycle I'd not explored. Best off all, they can be a great sounding board and support for tough problems I'm having that are making me crazy. For instance, recently, I switched from Shimano HG 11spd cassettes to SRAM XDR 12spd cassettes. I found a unique 9-42 tooth 12spd cassette from KCNC on Amazon ... but when I received it, something was wrong and I couldn't get it mounted on my NEW Onyx Vesper hub. I went to Landyachtz to ask if they could help but wasn't invited to speak with anyone that knew about bicycle mechanics, only a VERY good sales person who didn't know anything about mounting SRAM XDR.I had already decided the best thing was to purchase a new SRAM XDR cassette and compare the two items to maybe stumble upon the solution.I've been working on bicycles since I was 10 years old and worked as a professional mechanic at about 6 different bike shops over 15 years from 1988-2003 and I was also the personal mechanic for some of Canada's best cyclists during that time. This has left a gap in my knowledge regarding hydraulic brakes and SRAM.I've been able to watch YouTube videos from Park Tools and item manufacturers to figure out most things, but the XDR cassette mounting of the KCNC cassette was completely different to the SRAM and I just couldn't risk stripping the threads of my new cassette body on a guess while learning how to mount it.Returning to Landyachtz again, I was faced with a salesperson that didn't know much about mechanical stuff if anything and couldn't help. I asked to speak to a mechanic, but the wheel and cassette were taken back to the maze in the back of the shopnout of sight. I had to ignore my instinct of waiting to be allowed back, and I just walked around until I found my wheel in the hands of a mechanic in the middle of mounting the cassette.I tried to watch and get an idea about what was happening but I had to speak up and ask questions, I was never invited back or nor shown the technique in detail. Even asking questions was like pulling teeth and argumentative. Stuff described with names in the videos from the manufacturer and their documentation was argued about and I felt very discouraged and disappointed.I understand that mechanics are very busy people, and in many shops, getting to speak with a mechanic is discouraged if the salesperson can answer the questions. They should never have their time wasted.Landyachtz seems like one of those great local bike shops that kills it's own business because they won't bend to engage with customers.

The staff there is great, as they are very helpful for someone as clueless as me to pick out a longboard. The price is pretty reasonable too, as the quality of the longboards are phenomenal! There is a small park nearby to skate around too, so you can try out the boards right away.

Probably the greatest board shop on the planet. I feel like a kid in a candy shop whenever I'm here. The staff are top notch and never pressure you to buy anything. Only ever shopped for boards, but most of the staff have been skating for a while so they have tons of experience/technical know-how. A real shame that I only discovered the hobby midway into 2020, looks like the shop used to have a super chill hangout" setup complete with arcade machines and a half pipe.
