Guelph Lake Commons

I recently joined the staff at Guelph Lake Commons. When I arrived, the beauty of the property with all the gardens took my breath away! Staff and residents have made be feel so welcome. Seeing how happy the residents are to be living here is so special to me! What a great environment!

I find it a very warm and friendly place and a feeling of community among the residents .

Staff/management are wonderful, caring & hardworking and always put the residents first. Always lots of programs geared towards the residents wants and needs and the food is awesome paired with special events/occasions. I highly recommend this place if anyone is looking for quality, excellent customer service but still living independently. This is a great way to stay social and socially active for both your health and wellness.

Why did I wait so long ?When I decided that I no longer wanted the responsibility of owning a house, I began researching alternatives. I looked at apartments but I wasn't really interested in having to continue shopping for food.I investigated various places in town for seniors, but I had visited Guelph Lake Commons to see friends over a period of two years and found them very happy and involved.I wanted to be able to choose when and where to move instead of having to do so in a hurry - and then take what was available.When I committed to moving to 'the Commons', I sold my house and moved into my suite in June. I hesitated to come because of the pandemic. But since moving in I have felt safer and more protected than at home where I was having food delivered or having to shop.It's now like an adventure with three healthy meals a day, new friends to discover, and a happy environment. The staff, both dining and housekeeping, are so cooperative.Being pampered at the stage of my life feels warm and right.

We visited Guelph Lake Commons and were pleased with how nice and clean it was. The management staff was very friendly and everyone looked happy. As we drove in it was delightful to see snowmen all over the grounds. Apparently school kids came and built them. A nice touch that brought a smile to our faces.

Lots of parking.Friendly and helpfull staff.Friendly residents.Organized events for residents, like live music.The residents can choose to come eat with the other residents or have there food deliver to there room.If a resident don't come to a event or don't come to eat or ask for food delivery, a staff member will go check on them to make sure everything is ok.You can book a private room for a special event like a birthday party.

I have been a housekeeper/Server here at Guelph Lake Commons for the past year and a bit. I am always very happy to come to and I know that I am making a huge difference in our residents lives. We have excellent staff and management that support and truly care for one another. We have a lot of fun activities and great meals. I am truly happy to be part of such a great team.

Being a staff member here has been a pleasure for me. The facility is well managed, the residents are amazing, and the staff are great to be around. Working here has been great and it’s nice to feel appreciated for my work!

I moved in to Guelph Lake Commons in November 2021. I have made new friends and enjoy the various activities here. Meals are plentiful and varied. Staff are friendly and helpful. I appreciate having someone clean my apartment and launder my linens and towels weekly. My apartment has a patio which I will enjoy in better weather as it is overlooking lawns and trees. Moving here was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
