We stayed at this hotel, as we were in town for a sports tournament. The hotel was booked extremely early and our whole team was placed throughout the entire hotel, not on one side or floor of the hotel. The front staff are nice but gave mixed signals to different parents of the team when asked about certain services. The pillows are SMALL. Their size makes it very hard to get comfortable at night. The room was hot, no personalized AC in the room. We would set it and it would go back to what it was set at. The rooms was clean enough. I suggest the cleaners sit on the toilet when cleaning so they can see all the stains on the walls. The walls are not very sound proof. After our first game some of the team went down to the restaurant to get a quick meal before bed at 8:10 ish. The wait was supposed to be 20 minutes but more of our team ended up coming to the restaurant. By the time they could seat us it was 9pm and they presented us with a condensed menu, that had food on it that our children wouldn't eat & +++ EXPENSIVE. No warning was given that the menu would be condensed. They had soooo many tables open but apparently not enough staff to let our team sit out by the host/hostess front area. Overall, I would not stay there again.

Notes added at the end.July 5th. Disgusting. Checked in, got to my room, got comfortable, lied down and immediately there was a bed bug crawling up to my shoulder. Caught it in a bottle, took photos, informed staff and checked out within an hour. Showed staff the bed bug in question but I doubt anything more than disposal without question or without involving management happened. The bedbug was chock full of eggs once I caught it. What's worse, is I did my routine check of bedding along the side; didn't even think to check the edge of the mattress, pillows, or headboard which was fastened too tight to the wall anyways (perfect crevice for bedbugs). Saw nothing but as soon as the pillows, head board side of the mattress, and head board were disturbed there it was, searching for its next meal.Interior Health doesn't even track bed bugs at hotels. What the ***???Dirty tissues shoved behind the bedside table seemed to have been there for a while. Dirt everywhere, grimey walls, holes in the lampshade (not even sure how that happens, OR gets overlooked).Beds were like sitting on plywood and the pillows were more like compact, 12x12 couch pillows. At least I didn't stay long when a bed bug interrupted the already noted discomfort.*Additional note below

Over 300 a night for this hotel is absurd. Front lot is a mess, weeds everywhere and parking lot is full of gravel. Hot tub was too hot to sit in for more than a couple minutes(107f). Pillows on the beds were the size of a decorative pillow for a couch. Shower rod in the bathroom was a rusty mess. Rooms were clean and quiet but almost everything else is in a state of disrepair. Staff was friendly. Paying near top dollar for a hotel in any town should mean a top level experience. This is anything but that. Pool was out of service but that’s ok…has to be done once in awhile.

The Coast was a really great hotel with really friendly staff. The pool was good for the most part, and the rooms were clean. The food at the restaurant was amazing, and it looked out into downtown Kamloops and the nearby mountains. Stunning. The restaurant also had great waiters and cooks. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel

We stayed here one night on the main floor in a pet friendly room with our young children and pup. The carpet leading from the Lobby to the room was absolutely filthy. Spills all over. Once we got the kids to bed in their pack n plays our bedding and pillows had a funky bad smell. Wasn’t an enjoyable sleep. We were absolutely disgusted the next morning when we were packing up our belongings and checking for toys when we pulled back the one duvet to find blood on the side of the mattress and drips all on the floor. They need a much better standard with cleaning here … along with the rate of $275 we paid, we were extremely disappointed with our night here. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Yuck!!I did talk to the front desk at checkout and asked him to make sure they clean that mess up.

Always a family favorite, fabulous front desk staff, ultra clean rooms with gorgeous views. Everything we are visiting town this is our home away from home. It does get booked up quickly in the summer, and there are always oil/rail/construction workers taking up ALL the parking.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Service staff for the conference were outstanding. Unusual layout is not very intuitive. Great views from the aptly named Vista Room.

This is my second time here and I have to say it’s a very underwhelming hotel. From the exterior image and it being a Coast hotel you expect a certain quality inside. The hallways and rooms are tired and in need of carpet replacement for sure. The room appears clean but the carpets are stained. My room was 19c which is cold when it’s not summer. I set it to 23 and it never changed. I phoned front desk and they said they would send someone to look but no one ever came. The bed pillows are tiny and old. Bed mattresses are comfy. They missed the boat on technology as there’s very few open charging plugs in the room and no usb ports bedside like many other hotels.I had dinner at Romeo’s (on site restaurant) and while each time the food was underwhelming and pricey, the service was great at the bar and the bartenders were very friendly and nice to talk to.I would stay here again since I come for business and it has a restaurant on site. I would say this is a budget hotel and there aren’t many better options in Kamloops.

Good hotel for the price we paid. For a person who travels a lot, this is the first time I have seen the toilet was of proper height and bowl size. Some of the other hotels seemed like they had toilets from the 1950s and the water took so long to fill up in the tank. Room cleaning wasn't first class. There were spider webs in the corners on the wall and ceilings so it seems like the cleaning crew only concentrates on the main stuff. Door card access isn't great. I had my access cards in a separate pocket so it wouldn't get demagnetized but on occasion the cards would stop working. At one point I was locked out of the hotel when trying to use the side door which I used regularly. Luckily the cleaning staff saw me and opened the door. The rooms are cleaned daily. Unlike the holiday inn, the front desk never told me to hang the do not disturb" sign on the door to tell the cleaning crew not to clean my rooms. They should tell you this when checking in. Holiday Inn tells you what you need to do to get the rooms cleaned during your stay. Communication is important. Having said this
