They were quite helpful and friendly. I am new to violin and went in to buy a bow and shoulder rest at this store on a recommendation. While I was in they looked over my instrument and made some adjustments for me as well as reduced the price of a higher quality bows as they were out of stock of their entry level models. It entire experience was very much appreciated and I will be returning there in the future.

Hours are terrible. Building is not accessible. Website is straight out of the 90s.Called the business, voicemail message says they are closed December 24-January 4 inclusive - arrive on-site on January 5th to learn through a sign on the door that they don't open till the 6th.I did my best to support local, but now I'll spend more to get it from Amazon.

Took my mother’s childhood violin to The Sound Post so it could be restored. It was in bad condition. The gentleman I spoke with walked me through the restoration process and gave me an estimate. It took 3 months to complete the restoration and worth the wait. A young lady that works there agreed to play a beautiful piece and allow me to record her so I could send the video to my mother. So happy with the results and the care and love that was put into the restoration of this piece of my family’s history.

I only have experience with their violin rental, hence four stars. Great service. Violin was properly fit to my 5 year old. It was a nice instrument in very good condition. They have all sizes from 1/16 and up, which is great as the 1/10 is the perfect size (and not necessarily as easy to find). Definitely recommend going there if you have a young child looking to try viola, violin, or cello.

I was so impressed by the staff and friendliness. Not knowing anything about string instruments, I brought in a violin, that needed a string and a tune up, for one of our kids. The service, helpfulness and friendliness were amazing. Thank you!
