Mindemoya Motel

Very nice and clean rooms, the blankets and towels smelled amazing. The owners are very nice and welcoming. When we arrived the lady was cooking and I said how good it smelled and she gave us a container , and it was delicious! Motel is located central Manitoulin so, it's easy to travel. Grocery store near by and amenities. We will definitely be returning!

My softball team and I recently stayed at this motel for a weekend. The outside of the motel made me believe the inside would be dirty and grimy as well, however, the rooms were clean and fresh. We paid $215 per night which was steep considering the size and amenities available. On our second day, the owner called me into his office and had me sign two $100 deposit forms (one for each room we had booked). My brother booked an additional room and didn’t have to sign for a deposit at all. After we left, the owner sent me pictures of a broken bolt on a toilet and said he wouldn’t be returning either deposit. So that’s $200 for a broken bolt. I asked to see a receipt but he refused saying he didn’t have to show proof. Despite there being “damage” to only one room, he decided it was his right to keep both deposits. I have tried numerous times to reach out and explain that he cannot do this, that he is only entitled to one deposit, but he either ignores my texts, or yells at me on the phone and talks over me when I try to discuss the situation. Needless to say, we will not be staying there again and I would advise anyone who chooses to, to be cautious.

Stayed here for 3 nights. This place is located in the center of the island which cuts down the drive time. Rooms were very aesthetic as they were renovated recently. Had everything that's needed - AC, TV, microwave, fridge, toiletries and hair dryer. There is a grocery store just 2 minutes drive away. The motel has a nice picnic/camping lawn at the back. Owner Nick was very professional. Will be back whenever I am on the island.

Nick is very friendly and helpful with all our needs. The room was very cozy, clean and comfy. Renovations and new window installations made the initial appearance of the motel questionable but it was not the case, one of our favorite stays of many. The shower was amazing! We will definitely stay here again.

Good bathrooms. Very clean. Friendly staff. On site parking. Good bedding. Provided Microwave, mini fridge, TV and coffee maker. I found this a bit expensive.We stayed there for one night in 2 queen bed room. Overall great experience but a little costly.

Clean rooms, nice owners. Good service. I mean it's a roadside motel in Manitoulin so it's not the Ritz, but we enjoyed our stay and the services in the area were decent.

Had a good night's stay here, the staff was friendly and helpful and the location is perfect. My only issue with this place is that it is the motel itself is a bit rundown especially with the bedding and the exterior but they are actively renovating it so hopefully these issues will be resolved on my new visit, would come back again.

Horrible motel. There is no sign of cleanliness inside the room nor outside in the property. Its like a junk yard. The oven or microwave had food waste from previous owners. Flies were trapped inside the room.This property is not fit for people to stay. It should be destroyed, everything is outdated and the stairs shake when we walk as though it will collapse. The owner is very rude and feels like he is entitled. He has no sense of customer service and was acting like he gave us the room for free. The sofa was as though he got it from a garbage, it had so many stains and we were scared to sit on it .If you have a choice just stay as far as you can from this motel. Its not fit to be called a motel too. Filthy place.

Nick and his wife, really make the stay comfortable. I stayed there for awhile, and it started to feel like home, they are very personable people. my only complaint, is wildlife, giant moths would greet me at night when I smoked. Also other tenants, they can be bothersome but if it escalates, nick would solve it. I hope therose bush does well.

I would like to say I am happy with this motel when I stayed in Manitoulin island, I booked a small room with one bed on Friday when I waited standby at Tobermory, I was a bit worried because of the nagative review, but the room is clean and cozy, I later decided to stay another night and the owner let me keep the same room as I told him in the weekend morning and he also gave me a discount to stay another night, the location also quite good, close to the grocery store, and the providence Bay beach , bridle Vail falls and cup and succer hiking trail, it is in the middle of the island, so very convenient, the owner is helpful and easy to approach .
